home packing service provided by the freight forwarder

to sell some paintings I’d like the shipper to come to the seller’s home and take care of proper packaging as well as shipping. This service doesn’t seem to exist among those offered by eBay.

I’ve seen that UPS or Mail Box EX.... could do it but can I use these services even though they aren’t mentioned among the options. Thanks

very simple: it’s the seller who has to find the right courier for this kind of service..... definitely not eBay or the other marketplaces or whoever works for them, since it doesn’t fall within the standard services possibly offered by those marketplaces....

On ebay, once the item has been sold, it is enough to mark it as shipped and enter the relevant tracking code.

Once the buyer has paid for the item, you will find the buyer's shipping address.

At that point you can take your paintings to a Mail Box etc center and they will pack and ship the item for you.

The only thing you need to do is go to Mail Box etc and ask for a quote for shipping a painting.

Once you have the shipping price, you can enter it on ebay (for example shipping 20 euros).

Ebay only offers the shipping service (with the package already packed) with pickup at home or at a pickup point.

You can use the Mail Box etc service without any problem, just select it in shipping (standard shipping or courier).

The service you're asking about "does not seem to exist among the ones offered by ebay" because, unlike Vinted, Subito, etc., eBay does NOT provide its own shipping service.

You have to take care of the packaging and the relative shipping of the item yourself (and therefore calculate the related cost and charge it in advance to the buyer).
The drop-down menu you find on the sales page is only used to indicate the service you will use and to enter the price and order fulfillment times.

For completeness, eBay has an agreement with PackLink to obtain attractive rates, but the seller is NOT obliged in any way to use it if the service offered does not suit them (all the more so since PackLink does not in any way provide the packaging, pickup, and shipping method you are asking for).
