Shipping a package after the set deadline
Good morning, I sold an item yesterday and I should ship it by Wednesday evening, but these days I’m away from home and I’ll only be able to ship it on Thursday. Is there a way to delay the shipment by one day, or do I necessarily have to ask the buyer to cancel the purchase and place it again?
Thanks to anyone who replies!

I would focus on the buyer, since with eBay shipping you could (if you want) buy a BRT, Psote or UPS shipping label with delivery at a pickup point.
You could make the tracking code show up on eBay while respecting the maximum shipping times provided by eBay, but then deliver the package 2 days later at the post office or a Poste or BRT point...
But the important thing is to communicate promptly with the buyer because some buyers are very picky about shipping and delivery times and could make a fuss.
So let them know that you'll have a few days' delay; if it's a problem for them, they can ask to cancel the sale.
Best regards

·10 months agoThese are thoughts that complicate things and a salesperson must not have. Above all nowadays where people are overwhelmed by inputs of every kind and devote only a few seconds of attention to communications. The salesperson simplifies. Sends a short message specifying that Thursday morning you will be at the post office and right after you will send another short message with the completed transaction and with the shipment tracking code. The buyer feels gratified and looked after by a salesperson. Confirming to himself that he made a good purchase. Best regards.
