shipped instead of pickup. now how can I get the payout
I sold an item that, according to the listing, was supposed to be pickup, the buyer paid and asked me to ship it, as per the internal chat. Now, in order to collect the money, I need the 6-digit code sent to him by email from eBay. He says he hasn't received this code. How do I tell eBay that the item was shipped and not picked up, and that they should pay me?

·1 year agoSo, I’d like to let you know that when local pickup is offered by the seller, according to eBay’s rules you must set an appointment and an arrangement to hand the sold item over in person to the buyer. The 6-digit code or the QR code is received by the buyer on the eBay app. So, the buyer has to install the eBay app on the phone, the same procedure you have to follow as well ty. After that, you’ll have the option to enter this code manually and the funds must be released automatically by the eBay system. If they are not released automatically by the system, then it means eBay has also decided to apply the 30-day hold and they will be released after 30 days from payment. Have a nice day!

·1 year agoif the listing was for pickup only and you shipped it....... big mistake.... in practice it’s as if the buyer had picked it up directly (through the courier) and, not having the pickup code, you have to hope he’s honest.....
in any case, try contacting eBay support if it’s possible in any way to fix the mistake....

hoping the buyer doesn't open a dispute against you.
If they open a refund request, they get their money back and keep the item.

·1 year agoeBay has temporarily "frozen" the money (or rather, by whoever handles eBay payments....) as stated in the rules (see Mario's reply), which, incidentally, very few people read....
as for eBay support...... honestly over the years (or rather decades.... since I've used it since it was born ..... ) I've always managed to find them...... whether they always solved the problem is another matter....
