Shipping to a completely unknown address

Good morning everyone, a month ago I bought a product from China; I buy a lot of them in different countries and have never had any problems.
This time, 12 days after the purchase, the seller sent me a DHL tracking number and everything seemed fine.
In two days it arrives in Milan Malpensa and I live a few kilometers from there, too bad that all of a sudden it heads toward Genoa.
I try to track it through the postal code, error; I try to track it through the reference phone number, error; there was no way to find out where that package was going.
I immediately contact the seller, who explains that he sent a second one, this time with a different system, 4PX.
Only the first one says "delivered" and the second one is on the way.
Could this cause me any problems?
Practically speaking, in the purchases profile it looks like I received a package, but it never arrived to me.
The second one will take forever and will arrive who knows when

OP1 year agoI contacted the seller, who even before I realized this had promptly sent the product again with another carrier, all good.
Very quick communication and he was ready to forward everything.
It seems there’s an issue with shipments from China and DHL couriers, I think it’s because of the language or something else, but he explained that almost all DHL shipments get lost to addresses even he can’t trace back.
Anyway, resolved, product arrived.

·1 year agoIt's a tricky situation. On eBay you have 30 days from the delivery date to open a dispute (and with that tracking, the delivery is already marked as having happened), so if you open a dispute for item not received (if that's even possible) eBay will rule against you saying it was delivered, then you'll be the one who has to explain that the tracking says it was delivered to a different address.
On the other hand, if you report the product as different blabla, the seller might ask you to send it back in order to get a refund.
Is the seller acting in good faith? who knows... take a look at their feedback even if they may have had negative feedback removed; if you find some, you know for sure they're probably not new to this kind of trickery. Alternatively, it could really have been a mistake (I don't really believe it).
Try contacting eBay customer support, but here too sometimes they're the first to be unprepared, so take what they tell you **bleep** with a grain of salt.
