Shipping from China
Good morning, I purchased at the end of February a product shipped from China.
these are the two tracking numbers the seller gave me: EE10026631608980001040003D0D, UT613617433NL (one related to the package handling in China and the other related to Europe).
The package arrived in the Netherlands on 8/03 and on 11/3 all customs clearance procedures were completed. However, the package has been stuck since that day.
Can you tell me if this is all normal?

·2 years agoI think it’s normal that the exact same items bought from a Chinese shop and a so-called "Western" one cost more, for a number of reasons.
To import them they have to pass (should?) certain standards and be CE certified, and that bureaucracy has a cost.
Secondly, if you buy from Chinese sites, forget the two-year warranty; after 30 days if it stops working, too bad.
Thirdly, the simple transport and importation drive the costs up, plus another layer is added to the supply chain that obviously will want its share of the profit.
I agree that the products are almost always the same.

·2 years agoin short: buying from China and hoping it arrives quickly is quite optimistic..... even if sometimes it can happen......

OP2 years agoBut once the package arrives in the EU, shouldn't it have a faster process?

·2 years agoThat said, considering that everything produced in China under license by the United States and Europe has to meet maniacal standards, or else every contract is immediately terminated, and considering what daxisko specified about customs timing, I've always wondered what an ordinary mortal on the platform might want to buy from China. Despite my efforts to be as flexible as possible, I couldn't find a reason. Whereas I perfectly understand the opposite. They say there are gigantic cabbages in some provinces near the Russian border, but I don't think anyone would think of having them shipped. It really remains a mystery to me.

I have bought a few times in China directly from one of their websites (fairly well-known and 'safe', but you do have to pay attention, there are unreliable sites in China too)
What I mostly found was that the same items with Chinese origin have higher prices here
probably eBay fees are added too, but sometimes the prices are actually marked up
I don't think it's a coincidence
probably by doing this they 'distract' loyalty from the site and move it to the Chinese equivalent
