·1 year agoI shipped a postage stamp with Packlink - a postage stamp! - of course in an envelope, and after two months Packlink disputed the shipping weight. I still had the photos, which I always send to customers as a courtesy, and I had all the details of the item sold... all for nothing.
The only thing that really helped after wasting time with Packlink's Spanish call center was filing a fraud report with the carabinieri, which I then had to take to the bank.
The carabinieri grumbled because the company is TOTALLY UNKNOWN IN ITALY, and the amount was just a few euros.

·1 year agoYou probably didn’t read the list of items that cannot be shipped with Packlink:
https://support.packlink.com/hc/it/articles/208328585-Articoli-proibiti-e-soggetti-a-restrizioni?_gl=1%2A1m0hx05%2A_ga%2AMjAzOTk0NjA3OS4xNzU3MjI1NzY3%2A_ga_4PRCLJRB5N%2AczE3NTcyMjU3NjYkbzEkZzEkdDE3NTcyMjU4ODgkajYwJGwwJGgw%2A_gcl_aw%2AR0NMLjE3NTcyMjU3NjcuQ2p3S0NBand0LV9GQmhCekVpd0E3UUVxeUMzMWFVZlVmWWZtNF96QnpmM2JKOU16aXRfMU10RkIwMlY5NzhoS0k4dUNiVXhuNjFTX1hCb0NJUU1RQXZEX0J3RQ..%2A_gcl_au%2AMzg3NDAxMzg4LjE3NTcyMjU3Njg.#:~:text=lotteria%20dello%20stato%2C-,francobolli,-%2C%20marche%20da%20bollo
and lo and behold, postage stamps are on there too.
Have a good day.

·1 year agosome couriers require minimum package dimensions, and if your parcel (e.g. a very thin envelope with a stamp inside) does not meet the minimum requirements, they can:
- Put it inside their own packaging (courier envelope or box),
- Charge you an additional fee for packaging or for the difference in category (e.g. from “envelope” to “parcel”).
BRT, UPS, DHL and others.... ask for at least 15 x 10 x 1 cm
If your envelope did not fall within the minimum required dimensions, most likely a discrepancy in the measurements was reported to you.

·3 years agoTheir conditions. in the event of damage to shipments are absurd, unreasonable, and illogical. Essentially, they require the buyer to have a packaging company. All obviously orchestrated to find, on every occasion, the excuse to make your life impossible, and ultimately deny you the refund. There should be a class action; they operate on the edge of legality. Easy to work like this, tomorrow I’ll open a shipping company too, and in the terms I’ll put that the refund will only happen if the shipped package was fuchsia, otherwise the refund will not be guaranteed.

·3 years agoAs they already wrote to you, you are not obliged to use Packlink, eBay only has 1 agreement. You can use other shipping services.
About the reviews ... yes, there are many complaints, but you have to keep in mind that often we all only write when something has gone wrong. Even on Trustpilot I have never found a site that has only, or almost only, positive reviews. Then it may be that Packlink’s customer support is not as great as I read, but it all is relative.

OP3 years agoMy dears, thanks for the replies, but on Packlink my complaints are proven; of course there’s no obligation to use it, I’m just pointing out that if there’s a problem with a shipment, compared to others they tend not to resolve it in your favor. For example, if a package goes missing, it’s almost your fault; they ask you for various documents that they already have in their possession because when you use it, the shipping slip, for example, they send it to you themselves, then they ask you to send a photocopy anyway. In any case, you can forget about getting refunds 90% of the time, don’t give answers... I know what I’m doing, I’ve used it for years but only in particular situations, when the item being shipped is of low value and the shipping is very convenient compared to others, in this case the risk is worth it. Regards to all

·3 years agoWith all due respect, even with other brokers or even directly with the courier, if the package gets lost and you don’t insure it, you won’t get any refund...
So what would the underlying problem be?
Kind regards.

·3 years agoGood morning
With domestic shipments I’ve never had any problems with lost items, but I know that the various Poste Delivery services refund something like 1 euro per kg.......
So it also depends on the service you choose and in which cases the various included free insurances cover you.
I got compensation from packlink (eBay shipping) for a DHL shipment with basic insurance included in the price of 75 euros (the item cost 70 euros) sent to Greece that turned out to be damaged.
The procedures are not very intuitive and are made specifically to make you lose your temper, but with patience and perseverance, with the indispensable help of the buyer, you can manage to obtain a refund. I had to wait about 2 months and prove that the packaging complied with the correct packaging guidelines.
Another time, however, they rejected the claim because the packaging was not compliant (I was the buyer) with the correct packaging according to their guidelines, and in fact the seller had wrapped the notebook around several layers of cardboard without using bubble wrap or similar material.
Kind regards.

OP3 years agoUnfortunately, from experience, that's not how it is, a package to Greece, package damaged from the buyer's photo it looked like they'd hit it with a sword, NO refund. Another example, I shipped a model airplane in polystyrene, weight 1 kg, to them it came out as 37 kg ????? plus 65 euros in shipping costs. Let's say that's the trend, confirmed by others too and even by an eBay operator, who unfortunately said they have no ability to manage shipments. Too bad, because it would be better and more reliable.

·3 years agoI agree: unresolved issues with package problems, later charges for weight differences (volumetric or not): in short, if everything goes smoothly, fine; if on the other hand there's any problem, they don't fix a single one....... only to be used when the price is convenient (and hope for the best.....), otherwise it's better to opt for other, more reliable shipping providers

·3 years agoWhere did you read that?
If you base it on the discussions on the forum, these neither make averages nor statistics, since the discussions are opened explicitly to report or solve problems.
The same goes for the various sites that collect reviews; there too, people are pushed to review a service only when they have encountered problems.
Let’s say that reading negative reviews helps you understand what recurring issues one service may have rather than another, but in my opinion few people bother to waste time reviewing a service by saying "for me everything was fine, the service worked as expected". I believe it’s something that all of us take for granted when we choose to use a certain service.
Kind regards.

OP3 years agoNO I read it, I verified it, and if you don't agree, too bad, probably one can be biased
