Shipment to Germany stopped since September 5. Italian Post (SDA)
Summary: The discussion concerns an issue with a shipment to Germany that has been stuck since September 5 via Poste Italiane (SDA). No further details are provided regarding the causes or proposed solutions to resolve the situation.
Good morning,
on September 4th I purchased a shipment to Germany that was regularly picked up from my home on September 5th. It arrived at the local branch, then from there to the north hub and has been stuck there since September 5th.
I bought the label with paccofacile and immediately opened a ticket that has been in progress since the 8th. I still haven’t received any information about the package. Luckily I insured the package for its full value (1250 euros), but by now I’m also afraid that in case of loss I won’t even see the insurance money.
Has anyone ever been in a similar situation? In case of loss, were you able to receive the insurance money from paccofacile?
Thanks

OP1 year agoHas anyone already had any refund experiences with paccofacile in the case of a lost insured shipment? Do you think it’s worth me making another topic?

Paccofacile is not a service related to ebay.

OP1 year agoUpdate September 24: package declared lost by the post office and refund claim initiated with paccofacile. I'll let you know if everything goes smoothly or if there are problems. At least we'll see how serious paccofacile is

·1 year agobest of luck..... let’s say that in these cases it’s already a problem if you’re a direct customer of a courier (especially if you’re a customer who doesn’t bring in much business......), things get even more complicated when you use shipping managers (whether it’s Packlink, Paccofacile, Spedirecomodo, just to name a few.....)

·1 year agopaccofacile has great shipping rates and I sometimes use it when the eBay shipping manager doesn’t work or when it doesn’t provide competitive rates for certain ZIP codes or international shipments.
Having feedback on this kind of situation wouldn’t be bad either.
Thanks for the update.
Best regards

·1 year agoHi poppy
If there are no updates in tracking, there are mainly 4 possible scenarios:
1) Simple delay or backlog (unlikely beyond 10-14 days, but not impossible);
2) Error in labeling (the parcel cannot be identified and stays "parked");
3) Internally lost (e.g. ended up on the wrong conveyor belt or in the wrong container);
4) Theft or tampering (not common, but it happens, especially with valuable or small items).
Carriers are also equipped with scanners to verify the contents of parcels, so it is not impossible that an "interesting" parcel is singled out....
That said, as a seller I would never have entrusted a parcel of this value to Italian Post.
I would never have used a shipping intermediary, but I would have spent even 30 euro on shipping plus insurance to entrust it directly to UPS or DHL without intermediaries.
The procedure with paccofacile is similar to other shipping intermediaries: you have to open a ticket after about 21 days for a lost parcel and then keep following all the messages you receive.
You have to hope that paccofacile takes charge of your request with a certain seriousness, and that there are no clauses that limit any compensation.
If you like, keep us updated on how it develops.

OP1 year agoI'm also leaning toward the third and fourth possibilities.
Unfortunately, shipping had always gone well for me until now, so I never really considered the issue of not using paccofacile.
For future high-value shipments, I'll definitely use a direct courier with insurance.
Thanks.
I'll keep you updated on developments.
