Post 1 shipping with €3 cash on delivery
Hello, I used Ebay to buy an item for 6 euros, but something very strange happened...
The seller had sent it by mail 1 but on delivery I had to pay 3 euros... and yet we're both in Italy, on the forum I read that people usually only pay from abroad.
I contacted the seller with a photo of the package attached (the post office had marked the words ''3 euros'' on top), he explains to me that it's a mistake and calls the post office in my city which in turn confirms the error, assuring me that it would send the postman to give me back the 3 euros.
The problem is that I haven't seen that postman again, now someone else delivers the mail.
Since then about 2 weeks have passed.
I know it's a very small amount, but does anyone know who I should contact anyway?
Thanks and have a nice day.

The strangest things always happen......
Given that posta1 has no delivery options and no signature pickup is предусмотрено.
We're used to trusting those who offer us the service, we tend to pay without asking too many questions, only to then realize that huge blunders have been made.
The problem is that, depending on which postman you get with posta1, if you refuse it, it doesn't go into storage but is sent straight back.
So it would also have been difficult to give any advice on a possible procedure to follow in cases like yours.
The only thing is that maybe it would have been better to go there right away.....
If you decide to go to the post office, let us know whether they eventually reimburse you.
Kind regards.

OP2 years agoI’ll report any news on the forum, my mistake was not asking the postman for the invoice...
Have a good evening 👍

·2 years agoHe wouldn’t have issued you any invoice for a posta1 and, very likely, not even if it had been a registered letter, with the difference that with the registered letter he could have left you a notice of attempted delivery and you could have gone to the counter to pick it up and ask all the necessary explanations.
In your case, if you had refused to pay, you would have risked the shipment being sent back to the sender.
In your case I would have started arguing with the postman, but the final word would have been his, so I don’t think he would have left me the package without first receiving payment.
Have a good evening to you too, bye 👌
