Does registered mail tracking work?
Hello, I bought an Xbox 360 game on December 28, which shows as shipped on the 29th by standard registered mail with a tracking number that has never worked (when I enter it, I get a menu with four numbers 1 2 3 4 all in grey with no other text). Is this normal or does it usually work? Also, in eBay’s mini menu it’s still stuck on shipped and the latest arrival date is tomorrow, January 5... And to think the previous purchase I made a full year ago, also from a seller with 99% and up feedback, never arrived (I was refunded). Could I be so unlucky that nothing ever arrives for me? I understand we’re still one day before the latest date, but that tracking really doesn’t work so I can’t know anything about the package’s status. Let me know if they usually work and in your opinion when I should contact the seller to ask them for some clarity!

OP3 years agoTime to make the post that finally the tracking has started working, it was showing in gray because until today they hadn’t bothered to do anything, today January 4 at 1:34 PM it was taken in charge at the Macerata post office, so I’d say it’s impossible it arrives tomorrow, probably the 9th or 10th since the 6th is a holiday... Well, sorry for the pointless post then!

·3 years agoRelax, sometimes anxiety gets the better of us... it happens to everyone sooner or later, especially if you’ve already run into some previous bad experience.
There are 2 possibilities: either it’s the Post Office’s fault and in this period that can also be understood....or if it showed you "product not available" the seller entered the tracking to get the platform to register the shipment as done quickly and then didn’t ship it (or couldn’t ship it) before today.
Unfortunately, some sellers, to keep their performance ratings high, have the bad habit of setting short shipping times in their parameters (e.g.: 1 day) and so they provide the shipping codes even on the day of sale or the next day; in doing so they get faster delivery estimates, but then they turn out to be fake because they will never ship within those terms.
Obviously this is 1 hypothesis, since the seller may have had 1 personal problem or some other obstacle.
