Using eBay shipping for items that have nothing to do with eBay
Hello, as the title says, is it possible to arrange pickups and deliveries by buying labels on spedizioni.ebay.it for private items or even for sales that happen on other sites? Here on eBay I found prices that are particularly convenient, which I wouldn’t have, for example, on the Packlink site.

·2 years agoAbsolutely yes! I’m one of those who, for about 2 years now, having been selling professionally, have been using the eBay shipping manager, using other marketplaces; the only thing on the label is the name EBY.

·2 years agoI’ve been using Ebay shipping since it came out in 2016,
I’ve done something like 250 shipments as a private seller both in Italy and abroad and I’ve never had any issues apart from a few labels that weren’t generated by the automatic system and required a ticket to support, which promptly sent me the label by email.
In my opinion it has been one of the best services eBay has come up with.
The service works well, the rates are among the cheapest and the international ones are really very convenient.
Ebay shipping is a service I always recommend.
Best regards.

·2 years agoYes, absolutely possible.
Just arrange a new shipment and manually enter the recipient’s details.
The rates, however, are 10-20% higher than those applied following a sale.
But still lower than Packlink...
Commercial policies... even PayPal’s shipping manager has lower rates than Packlink, even though Packlink is still the one that handles them...

·2 years agoI agree, in my view too it’s a commercial policy (linked to the agreements entered into between Ebay and Packlink, the specific terms of which, of course, only they know...... )

OP2 years agoA question: so far I’ve always spent about 5.50 per shipment with Bartolini (standard size: 30x20x10, 1 kg). I do everything through eBay and Packlink appears on the statement.
I organized some shipments for orders not related to eBay through spedizioni.ebay.it and spent the exact same amount: 5.50.
So are you telling me that normally on spedizioni.ebay.it, for eBay-related sales, you spend 10/20% less than doing everything on eBay? So when I sell an item on eBay, I shouldn’t click on "buy a shipping label" but should go to spedizioni.ebay.it and do everything from there?

·2 years agoIn the early days this possibility did not exist, at the moment by going to the site https://spedizioni.ebay.it
you can arrange a shipment simply by logging in with your eBay account; it is not necessary for the account to be enabled as a seller account, any eBay account is fine.
In my opinion this possibility should be excluded for sales outside eBay, but evidently going in and tinkering with the system and making these implementations / changes is costly.
By now eBay Shipping is competing with traditional brokers, and that doesn't seem right to me because, as has been said, the direct Packlink rates are very different.......
Best regards.

·2 years agoyes, it is possible
go into the Ebay shipping manager, if you look at the top right of the screen there is NEW SHIPMENT, click on it and then, of course, you will have to enter all the details (including the recipient's details, since they are not entered automatically as it is not an Ebay transaction )
