Book sale
Hello everyone, I’d like to sell a few copies (around 150) of my self-published book, do I need to create a listing and pack them one by one and ship them individually, or is there a way to send the copies to EBay and have them ship them for me? Of course, paying the fees.

·2 years agoAs mentioned, sales on eBay are handled by the user. You’re the one who has to pack and ship.
You can choose services offered by brokers who sell shipping at a lower cost, there’s also the one from packlink as they already pointed out to you, but if you then have any kind of problem (there have been many with weights that didn’t match the declared ones) it’s your problem ... between you and packlink. eBay won’t be able to step in since it doesn’t ship anything.
I fully agree with Vonbalden when he says he would never use a brokerage service.
Since these are books, I suggest you use the registered book mailing service from Poste Italiane, which costs 4.70 euros up to 2 kg in weight.

·2 years agoAs specified, Ebay uses an intermediary (packlink) but... I wouldn't have third parties ship even
the peels of an orange. Because surprises when you entrust something to someone are always just around the corner.
Keep in mind that, as a rule, the general public reads little and that is why your book must be emphasized in the description, especially if it is a treatise or an in-depth work (legal, advertising, etc.) in the field. In this case, the attention is definitely high. Offer a copy at a special price and an additional discount (on ebay this is предусмотрено) if one or two copies are purchased for relatives and friends. They can also be picked up in person. Package your item yourself, make it sturdy, and don't rush. All these factors are recognized by buyers when giving a satisfaction rating. Scout's honor. Best wishes for sales from von.

·2 years agoI'll add to what Sika said absolutely rightly (first part), that since it's an editorial product it benefits from Poste's reduced rates (book mailing).
But be careful: eBay DEMANDS full shipment tracking (or rather, it doesn't strictly require it, but in the event of a customer dispute for "not received".... ...you're on your own...) so you'll have to use Registered book mailing.

eBay does not have any shipping service, it is not a courier.
It relies on a broker, Packlink, which offers convenient rates, but you have to take care of the packing and the physical shipment yourself.
