Untracked sale completed, but still in shipped status
Hello, I’ve been on eBay for a short time.
I noticed that some untracked sales (book parcels), although completed (some with confirmation from the buyer, others with feedback) are still showing as “shipped”.
I’m asking, do they close automatically after a certain amount of time? Or do I need to activate some procedure I’m not aware of?.
Thanks in advance
Franco

OP1 year agoThanks for the kind and prompt response. My question is that although the item has arrived (with confirmation too), on the "orders" page the transaction remains in the "shipped" status. I’m asking whether in these cases the transaction closes automatically after a certain amount of time, or whether something needs to be done? Thx

·1 year agoThey don't get closed, since eBay has no way to verify that delivery took place.
Only after 13 months is there no longer any way to dispute them (not even with a chargeback).

OP1 year agoThanks for the kind reply. So in these cases, do they need to be left like this in the order list for 13 months, or can they be deleted even if they haven't been completed yet? Thx

·1 year agoYou can delete them, knowing that for the next 13 months the buyer could ask you for a refund for item not received (they can do this even if they have already left you positive feedback).

OP1 year agoThanks. Does the condition of possible refund request also apply if the buyer has been made aware of the risks associated with that type of shipping? regards

·1 year agoEven if the buyer is aware, the risk is entirely on whoever proposes, even just as an option, that type of shipping.
