Buyer gives wrong address and opens dispute
Good evening everyone,
I sold an item in Belgium a month ago, sent by post.
After almost a month and without anyone ever having written to me, eBay France tells me that the buyer has opened a dispute for item not received and wants a refund.
I contact the buyer, send the tracking again, send proof of shipment, and go to the post office in person to ask them where this package is, and I have a sheet printed out with all the movements.
The package has been stuck for two weeks because the address is incorrect.
After contacting the buyer and never getting a reply, and eBay telling me that I have to refund because it's my fault if the package is stuck, etc. etc.... the buyer finally replies and tells me that I wrote the address wrong.
At this point, of course, I lose my temper because I have proof that it was him who gave me the wrong address (photo of the address on eBay and PayPal, which is different; basically it's as if everything were the same but the street name was longer than it should have been).
When I point this out to the buyer, instead of withdrawing the dispute and calling the post office and apologizing, he simply tells me that the address I wrote is not wrong, in fact it's more complete because the address also includes the old street name, but often the courier's GPS can't find it (his exact words).
At this point I point out to eBay Italy and then to eBay France that this person gave me an incorrect address.
In response they simply tell me that the package should not have been stuck for so long and that they will therefore take the money from me.
Does anyone have any ideas? Has anything similar already happened?

·2 years agoWhat happened to me was that eBay, instead, pays for a dispute where he says the item arrived damaged.. I sent the photos, I didn’t log in for ten days, they close the case and side with a buyer who dares to scam.. Never again eBay, they can go to hell!
