Bought 2 fans for an Asus laptop, fans broken after 3 months, warranty??
Summary: technology_2015 reports a problem with two fans purchased for an Asus notebook that failed after three months and asks for warranty information. marioelegio and heavenwelkin take part in the discussion, but the conversation does not contain further details about the specific content of the replies.
Hello, I wanted an opinion on my case; on December 23, 2025 I bought 2 fans for a particular ASUS notebook, it takes the right and the left one; I received the fans on December 31, installed correctly after a couple of days (I am an IT technician with a regular physical shop in my city).
After not even 3 months from the purchase the fans start making noise, evidently of terrible quality, but at a fairly high cost. The seller states that they only have 2 months of warranty, but they do not show this at all in the listings. What do you think, can I somehow make use of some warranty from the seller, by contacting eBay for sure?

·5 months agoIf the seller doesn't cooperate by meeting you halfway in some way, the only quick route is to open a claim on PayPal (if you paid with PayPal) or else through your bank/card issuer and request a chargeback.
Try pointing this out to the seller; maybe they'll wake up and offer you some kind of solution.
Kind regards.

·5 months agoThe 24-month legal guarantee is an obligation, towards end consumers, only for EU professional sellers.
If you bought as a professional, it is not due to you.
If you bought from a seller outside the EU, it does not exist.
