How can I contact Ebay through chat?

you were sure that Irina, or Yuri, or Klaus, were on the other side like in a corporate call center. Now no more.

I just noticed the same thing, eBay customer service SUCKS IT DOESN'T EXIST, it's ARTIFICIAL, INEFFECTIVE, A F*CKING JOKE, SHAME ON YOU! 99% OF THE WORLD'S PLATFORMS HAVE CHAT, YOU'RE A BUNCH OF LOSERS!

In my view, GENERALLY speaking, the system through which online buying and selling works is being scaled back a lot, namely trust and feedback.

I remember it like it was yesterday in the early 2000s on ebay, where buying and selling were done exclusively by paying by bank transfer or Postepay top-up without IBAN. During that period I made hundreds of purchases and sales without ever having a problem....

Nowadays a system like that would be pure utopia.

Ebay processes the data and adapts / updates itself to the times we live in.

In current times there is a CLEAR disparity in treatment in the event of a dispute between seller and buyer.

Without private sellers, and without private sellers willing to list valuable or hard-to-find items, the platform inevitably loses value and quality.

But in my view it’s not ebay’s fault; I’m not aware of any marketplaces that take on a chargeback (legitimate or not), or a PayPal dispute.

Because if that were the case they’d be flooded with scam attempts since the platform would be putting up the money and not the seller.

Anyway, there are still marketplaces that let the buyer and seller negotiate directly without intermediaries.

If you need to sell a valuable watch or a valuable notebook, in my opinion you have to make the sacrifice of meeting in person.

Then if someone sells a Rolex worth 200 thousand euros on ebay, with FeDex internationa priority shipping, the problem isn’t ebay but the seller because maybe they don’t know the ebay rules and don’t know that you can ship with the safest service in the world but if the buyer has a clone at home and says you sent a fake........

If you open the mailbox associated with the eBay account you registered, you’ll find the emails eBay sent you about your purchase with all the details.

The support chats on other portals are very active and productive in the version with a virtual assistant and are excellently integrated into the web interface.

Unfortunately, eBay's chat through the browser left/used to leave quite a bit to be desired, with a floating pop-up that disappeared behind other windows and a 2000s-style graphical interface

I hope that in the near future they reactivate and renew the service because staying on the phone with the long-winded operator ..........

Personally, with chat I was definitely more efficient and productive.

I didn't know about this...!!

I was fond of the chat too. I always preferred it to voice calls because in chat I got much more "targeted" responses than over the phone.

apparently it was removed for a practical reason........ when I found out it reminded me of the saying "words fly, writings remain ....." ( ..... see the chat transcript that used to be received by email.....) : now not anymore.....
