Dispute on PayPal. Seller accepts refund but no communication from PayPal
PayPal refund from Ebay for a graphics card.
I had opened a dispute on PayPal and after one day the eBay seller writes to me that he accepted the PayPal refund.
But now after two days still no communication from PayPal about the money received and their automatic closure of the dispute.
Do you think the seller lied to me?

·3 years agoIf there's a dispute in progress, PP has very clearly defined processing and closing times (and they’re not 24 hours...).
Also because the seller no longer deals directly with PayPal but with eBay, so the "bureaucracy" is double.
You should have started a refund claim for item not as described with eBay and not with PayPal if you wanted shorter times (even if I doubt the refund would have arrived within 48 hours, anyway).

·3 years agoExactly... also because as the buyer, you don't file a dispute (or complaint) with the seller but with eBay... which in turn has to go back and untangle the whole thing.
Ergo, resolution times are (very) drawn out...

·3 years agoThe answer about the outcome of the dispute has to come from Paypal, not the seller. But did you convert the dispute into a claim? Have you checked the messages (also check the spam folder, you never know) the email address linked to your Paypal account?
