Good evening, I left negative feedback, in my opinion without having committed any violation, and it wasn't even published. Below is the text
Odometer listed for sale as needing restoration. The seller failed to mention in the description and photos the missing parts in the mechanism and that it was damaged. The dial and the hand are reproductions and not ORIGINAL; I attach PHOTO (dial left side the one put up for SALE right side an ORIGINAL one in my possession). In eBay messages he was almost mocking me and acting cocky, convinced he was right. Support closed the dispute in my favor. VERY DISHONEST SELLER TO AVOID
Did I make some mistake? Is it possible that, since there was a dispute that was then resolved in my favor, they still denied me the chance to leave feedback?
The seller is at the very least a rude and unpleasant person; I don't want to add anything else.
It was to inform other buyers

Feedback is subject to restrictions or limitations if it does not comply with the guidelines
It can be removed automatically or upon request from the seller.
If you received an instant removal of the feedback, this could be because you opened a dispute on eBay and authorized them to handle the issue with the seller.
In a similar case, leaving negative feedback could be "not allowed" and the feedback would be removed automatically.
Here you can find further information regarding the feedback rules.

OP1 year agoThanks
I think this happened because of the timing; right away I can’t even say it was removed because the feed was never published

·1 year agoThere are several mistakes, but what definitely makes the feedback removable is: … …..VERY DISHONEST SELLER TO AVOID.
It is your personal opinion based on an experience limited to a single transaction. You cannot judge and condemn someone for a single incident.
Your feedback could also have been grounds for a criminal complaint for aggravated defamation (cp 595 c3). EBay did you a favor by removing it.

OP1 year agoOk
It works
Even though over the years I’ve read worse. The same seller during the Covid period, using another account, called an acquaintance of mine pathetic in a feedback that wasn’t removed. In my opinion I think this is more serious than being an unfair seller (it seems obvious that it refers to my experience)

·1 year agoThe problem of the dishonest seller can be resolved by opening a complaint case on eBay.
If the seller does not ship within the expected time frame, a dispute can be opened for item not received and you can be refunded.
If the seller sends an item that does not match the description, a dispute can be opened where the seller must arrange to take the item back at their own expense and then fully refund the amount paid by the buyer.

OP1 year agoItem received not as described but refund obtained through eBay support
I’m not here to recount all the mockery and untrue complaints I received through messaging
Seller who considers himself infallible and always right, and who doesn’t like situations that go against him

·1 year agoI fully understand your point of view regarding the seller who did not behave correctly toward you but rest assured that when a seller loses money, they tend to improve the service and correct their approach if they have made mistakes or been negligent.
Better a refund with feedback removed than a non-compliant feedback removed without any refund.
Let’s say that if the seller committed any wrongdoing, eBay took care of protecting you.
Anyway, I can confirm that your feedback was removed automatically since you decided to ask eBay for help by opening the dispute.

·1 year agoDerision, threats via messaging, and other not-so-flattering behavior that robtras has recognized toward people he knows make it seem likely that this seller had been contacted beforehand. Changing course without persevering was the right thing to do. It should be kept in mind that in consumer goods and auto accessories, competition is ruthless, since these are products that are available in every possible variation. This type of seller is always under extreme tension, with eyes fixed on others who sell the same item for 1 euro less, always on guard because the slightest thing can mean the business has to close. These are not sellers who cater to a niche. They are not sellers who don't care about the general market and all the everyday hassles related to price increases, new regulations, new taxes, you see? The consumer goods market can give you a heart attack. Kind regards from von
