Negative feedback out of spite
Our dear user whom we know well thought it would be a good idea, even though the order was correctly canceled, to leave me negative feedback out of spite. What can I do to protect myself? Considering that I obviously have their first and last name available for any reports to the authorities?
Thanks

·1 year agounfortunately there are people who directly or indirectly "enjoy" leaving spite feedback...... at least the "indirect" ones (see any disputes on the community..... which then maybe "materialize" with a fake purchase on Ebay, solely for the purpose of leaving negatives.... ) are perhaps better avoided with a "secondary" account on the community not linked to the primary sales one......

·1 year agoGood morning mocer
I analyzed the feedback that was posted and in my opinion it does not comply with eBay's guidelines
This point: "then wrote a lot of lies on the eBay community" (does not comply)
there is also written proof of the connection with the community, so tomorrow contact support explaining that it is defamatory and not in line with the guidelines.
In my opinion, explaining the connection with arguments that happened on the forum is a secondary issue, especially because the post was removed, but if needed, point it out to the agent
Good luck 👍💪

OP1 year agoHi, thanks for the advice, today I tried to call but of course I got the classic non-EU support that wasn't any help at all, I'll try again tomorrow.

·1 year agoOnline platforms and, by extension, all social media can be arenas where people debate things, for better or worse. But a misunderstanding, whatever the reason, can be smoothed over. Maybe that guy felt cornered by mocer, mocer wanted to cancel a sale because he thought it was a trick. But life is already hard enough, so if I can fix a misunderstanding, I do it without hesitation. So I suggest (but this is only my opinion) sending the other user the card he wanted to buy. Along with a request to revise the feedback. This time let's turn the page by showing a hand extended to the other person. May resentment and misunderstanding not prevail. Not today, at least. A greeting to both antagonists from von.

OP1 year agoHe didn't want the card, he wanted a reason to leave negative feedback, he had openly declared that here on the forum in one of his many removed posts.

·1 year agoSimply a piece of sh*t... sorry about what happened, have you tried contacting support to ask for its removal?
I strongly doubt you can ask that character for a review.
The community is useful for putting similar users on the blacklist... probably you weren’t quick enough!
Too bad... but someone needs to give him a taste of his own medicine!
Kind regards.

OP1 year agoHi sika, thanks for the solidarity. I blacklisted him and his secondary accounts (3 in total), unfortunately after the purchase because you never think that a user you disagree with would be so frustrated as to do what he did. Since you have more experience than me as a seller, do you think it will be possible to get the feedback removed? Tomorrow I'll try calling support.
I also received a private message of solidarity from another user, I can't reply privately, it only happens with you, I don't know why, I'll paste the response here:
Hi, thanks for the help.
It's crazy, this user has at least 3 different accounts, x, y and z. In the meantime I filed a written report of the negative feedback, tomorrow I'll follow your advice and try calling support.
Thanks again and have a nice Sunday 🖤

·1 year agoHi Mocer,
honestly, they removed several pieces of feedback for me, I hope they do the same for you too!
It can't hurt to try!
Have a good Sunday.
