I confirmed the sale of a cell phone to a user
Good evening, I confirmed the sale of a mobile phone to a user with 0% feedback from March 2021. Can I trust them, do you think? I chose shipping with tracking and reimbursement in case of loss.

·1 year agolet's say the question should have been asked BEFORE putting the item up for sale ........ in short, broadly speaking:
good practice, before selling items on Ebay, to read the rules and understand them, and if in doubt ask or look into it (there is Ebay support, as well as the community and the web in general for doing targeted searches..... );
then, once you have done what was said above, assess the risk also depending on the value of the item ...... in practical terms, extreme example: you find the "different but honest" type who knows the system inside out .... in this case you could risk both the item and the money....
as for feedback, as Sika pointed out, not necessarily, in general, is it a danger.....

·1 year agoUp to you; if you don't feel safe, you can cancel the sale, but the fact that they have zero feedback doesn't mean anything because paradoxically a scammer, to make a seller feel more at ease, can use an account with more positive feedback.
Zero feedback with a 2021 sign-up could also mean that the buyer has made purchases but has not left feedback for the seller, who in turn did not return it.
The final decision is yours alone, but keep in mind that if you cancel the sale, besides getting a defect you also risk receiving unflattering feedback.
In this specific case, for greater safety I recommend spending those 2 or 3 more euros on shipping and choosing UPS with free insurance up to 75 euros.
I’m telling you this from personal experience because eBay shipping / Packlink works much better with UPS in case of post-sale problems, unlike Poste or BRT.
Good luck

·1 year agoWe all started with zero feedback... if you don't trust selling on eBay, maybe it was best to use those sites for in-person hand delivery and payment...
Best regards.
