Purchase info
I’d like to take part in an auction to buy a dinnerware set, but the seller told me they don’t offer insured shipping. Am I protected if I receive broken plates? The seller is a private individual. Also, how can I protect myself from any scams? What should I watch out for? Would it be better to arrange pickup in person? And which payment method is preferable? I’ve never bought things like this on eBay, and the amount isn’t exactly small. Thanks to anyone who can give me advice.

·3 years agoIf there are any broken items, you can request a return for an item not as described. In this case, the return would be at the seller’s expense (even if they’re a private seller, they have to accept it).
For payment, you can only use PayPal or credit cards; other types of payment on eBay are not allowed.
