MC011 without reason
Summary: top1n1 expresses frustration with a restriction placed on their eBay account due to reports of items not being received by buyers. They detail that only a few transactions occurred recently, all of which were successfully delivered with tracking information. They suspect either system errors or foul play by another user, as another listing for the same product appeared at a higher price. top1n1 is unable to get a satisfactory response from eBay support, which adds to their frustration.
Good morning, I'm asking here because it's extremely complicated to contact Ebay.
Last night I received the MC011 notice that imposed restrictions on my account “due to the high number of reports for item not received from buyers”.
Well, I thought, someone I recently sold to wanted to play dirty and report me. I immediately replied last night saying that my account was in order, I have no kind of disputes.
Over the last 90 days I have sold only 2 orders (3 if you count one placed the day before the notice) and all through Packlink with the attached tracking code showing as delivered. One of them was from a month ago, with a positive review so it couldn't have been that one, for the other I immediately asked if they had received the order correctly and they told me yes. So where do these reports come from?
This morning I try to write again, writing a long message in which I said that there was definitely a problem on their side, only to then see that it gives me the error “At the moment it is not possible to process your message”. I imagine it's just one reply at a time? If I try to contact ebay it then sends me back to the message so I can't do anything else, apparently. I didn't even receive a copy of the email when I replied.
Now, being 90% sure that none of my buyers reported me, because they would have admitted not receiving it instead of leaving proof in the messages that they did, I want to know if it is possible for another user who is not a buyer to report me for this reason, or if Ebay simply punished me at random because of its moderation system.
In the first case, it means that other users can abuse your account to take listings down (coincidentally, after my restriction, a user listed my same product for 50 euros more and we were the only two selling it) and this should be punished; in the second case, there is poor professionalism from this site and it will be a precedent for further similar situations.
Update: it looks like they need proof of delivery for my latest sales (predictable) but especially for one I had shipped only the day before. I point out that an item does not arrive in one day. That is why I was restricted.
