Good morning, after purchasing a manual, I receive photocopies.
In the "condition" field it says "used"
Besides this, I had the manual in question for a while and I know it; it's not in the size I knew it to be, but smaller.
This is the first negative feedback I've left in years and I find myself being threatened, if I don't retract the feedback, with being reported or that legal action will be taken against me.
What’s the point of feedback if I can’t leave justified negative feedback with a description and photos?

·1 year agoIn my very personal opinion, if a judge ever has to assess the issue, they will also assess, at the request of the interested party, whether the threat of a complaint was lawful or whether it constitutes private violence.
Of course, this is a personal consideration that comes from the popular wisdom that says: "When you go out with the sack to give, you also have to bring the sack to take."

·1 year agowithout getting into whether he is right or not...... the seller could very well take legal action....... that he threatens him and then actually does it though is another story....... (in short, I strongly doubt he will start it.....)

OP1 year agoBut excuse me, you’re selling a manual and under the item condition you put "used", in the listing photo you show a used manual, in the description you write "new binding" and then you ship photocopies?
Is this correct?

·1 year agoWhy didn't you open a procedure for item not as described and return the manual with shipping at the seller's expense.
Almost certainly the seller would have refused to take the manual back and you would have kept the manual plus the refund.

In short, a manual is being sold and in the item's condition it says "used", in the listing photo it is portrayed and therefore shows a used manual, in the description it says "new binding" and then photocopies are shipped?
Is this correct?
Should all this be accepted?
In summary, that’s the issue here. In many years, this is the first negative feedback I’ve given.

·1 year agoOn what basis? A criminal complaint must have at least one fact it refers to.
The feedback is formally correct, it simply describes an event and never expresses subjective judgments about the seller that could damage his reputation.
If anything, on the contrary, he could be the one to report the seller, who is expressing much more subjective and potentially offensive judgments, like: ... IF YOU DON’T READ, WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT IT ..... HE LEFT A FALSE FEEDBACK SAYING THAT HE REMEMBERS.

·1 year agoEvidently he doesn't know me.
He may well be a good radio amateur (judging from the callsign...) but I worked in a CAT in Mantua for years.
And since there aren't many radio CATs in Mantua, he must also know which one it is.
As for the Galaxy, as he surely knows there are several releases: in the early ones, it also included (as with many radios of the time) schematics and various procedures.
Then, since the "No user serviceable parts inside" became widespread (...) everything was relegated to a separate manual.
And it seems to me that the seller had already deduced this extensively in PM (including the fact that the owner's manual was photocopied in A4 and then assembled into A5).
So, since it makes no difference to me, in light of the listing you won and is still online, I advise you to change the feed, then see what to do.

OP1 year agoSo, I also have several years of experience working in cat. So much so that by calling friends I managed to get the entire manual in photocopy, which of course, as I remembered because I used it from time to time for years, is complete (find the video on YouTube, here it’s not possible to embed HTML code). The messages saying that there is no diagram arrived later, after I had gotten the photocopies (the photo in the listing instead shows an original) and it doesn’t mention the fact that a bundle of photocopies is being sent, but writes "new binding," which suggests an old manual, obviously used but complete in every part.
On top of that, the cover is identical to the complete one, while it will be remembered that the other one had the galaxy drawing on the front in black on a white background

·1 year agoSo in your opinion the seller had a complete manual with electrical diagrams and deliberately decided to photocopy part of the manual to save a few cents' worth of paper?
Do you have proof to back up your theory?
Maybe it would have been better to ask the seller whether the manual was complete and how many pages it was made up of.

·1 year agoEven in Lenovo computers of the old professional ThinkPad series, the service manual was never included in the sales boxes, which contained a variety of manuals, CDs and DVDs....
Usually the service manual is not given to end users but is intended for repairers, and in Italian or English it should say that it is a service manual.

·1 year agoIf the manual in question is the one that is still up for auction, I would say it is NOT a service manual but a user manual.
That is, a copy of the one given to the user who buys the transceiver.
Very different from a "Service Manual" intended only for technical support (and that one is indeed in A4 format, complete with schematics, PCB layouts, parts lists, and service/alignment notes...).
So I would say the seller is right and therefore the feedback (even if formally correct) does not refer to the item purchased but to an incorrect expectation, however, regarding a completely different object.

OP1 year agoinstead no, she evidently never had, a galaxy bought new with user manual. in the user manual there were the alignment procedures, the component values, schematics and relative pcb layouts. If you look even a little on rogerk.net you can see it. And it was called the "owner" manual.

Anyway, in my opinion, your feedback is formally correct and does not contain defamatory elements.
The one who has more to fear is the seller, given his response.
I would advise you to leave it as it is.

The Galaxy Saturn manual that can be seen in the seller's photo should be original and not photocopied, and the listing makes no mention of the fact that they are photocopies taken from an original manual.
That said, you could have used purchase protection by opening a refund request for an item not as described, with return shipping at the seller's expense.
But perhaps the aim was to "warn" / "put on guard" potential buyers that this seller's manuals are photocopied and not original.
The feedback you left, in my opinion, would have been "correct" up to this point here: "The manual received is not the one in the photo but a reduced photocopy"
Regarding the issue of the wiring diagrams, this cannot be determined with certainty since the seller may have a different version of the technical manual.
When in doubt, it would perhaps have been better to ask before buying whether or not the wiring diagrams were included.
In my opinion, a revision of the feedback would not be a bad idea.
