I understand your point of view, but since I received nothing and even the postman didn’t understand what happened, (also because at that hour he no longer comes by) I lost 45 euros. After 21 years of buying on eBay, only recently it also happened to me that 2 mouse pads were returned to the sender (fortunately refunded), I have decided to end our collaboration and turn to safer sites with greater guarantees.
Kind regards

·7 months agoBut I did respond, very much so, in line with user Ugo’s point: Ebay prides itself on providing guarantees for its purchases
and also on providing a shipping system bearing its own name (Ebay shipping system), but in practice
two sad possibilities occur in the event of non-delivery:
1) in the case of a “single” one:: see my past post that you kindly quoted again.
2) "non-delivery": despite the false delivery certification by the mail carrier where, not to say eliminate but at least reduce the phenomenon, it would be enough for the Ebay system delivery operator to provide photographic proof of delivery + the recipient’s legible signature.
This last one is user Ugo’s case; it is still right to point out the previous personal case, which is consistent with it.
It's simply...

·7 months agoReally, part of free discussion is bringing evidence of similar situations in order to carry on a discussion among civil people with congruent factors.
Does anyone remember computer viruses from the 80s?
What does that have to do with it?
The computer viruses of those years consisted in giving the infected machine impossible or extremely long calculations to perform, slowing down or effectively blocking the computer.
Ebay does the same to its users.
Ebay, if you receive nothing or receive a "fake", gives you an impossible process, meaning it forces you to make a return with a label stating as the contents of the package EXACTLY WHAT YOU DID NOT RECEIVE.
Nice though, your advice about falsifying the label with a graphics program.
In short, the package would not even be sent or would be stopped at customs, the shipment would be blocked and therefore Ebay would not be obliged to provide any refund...
The shipper would tell you to have Ebay make you a correct label; instead Ebay would tell you that you have a problem with the shipper, basically the Italian passing-the-buck...
In the case of false delivery even worse, the goods are marked as delivered, think that it would be enough to require the courier in the Ebay shipping system to take photos of the completed delivery or to show a legible signature of the recipient...
this cumbersome situation then is what happens in the case of a purchase protected by Ebay guarantee:
but what guarantee???

·7 months agoDo you even have the vaguest idea of the variables involved in a shipment coming from the United States?
In a few words, what would be needed is an operator who would dedicate themselves to you, customizing your complaint case and following you through the whole procedural process.
All this is not sustainable and in fact the well-known sales site A____n built everything in-house and manages the whole supply chain, and that's why things work differently compared to the others.
But not everyone likes buying on Az, whether because of its sales policies, whether because prices are on average higher, whether because returns are recycled, whether because many items aren't found there and so users have to look elsewhere.
Looking elsewhere ALSO means taking risks as a buyer.
As a buyer you have many fewer risks and responsibilities than a seller, but there is never the 100% mathematical certainty of being protected for the most varied reasons (including your issue).
And when this happens, after opening a discussion on the eBay forum, the user should realize that they have already done what they were supposed to do.
You have already warned users about your issue here:
https://community.ebay.it/t5/Regolamento-Sicurezza-per-gli/Ricevuto-il-famoso-quot-pacco-quot-ovvero-mi-e-stato-inviata/td-p/1034953
If there's some other matter you want to share with the forum users, at least use your own discussion since here we were replying to user ugo4848, so we're going off topic.
Kind regards.

·7 months agoForget the "canned" replies from these "poor souls".
Look what happened to me in the post just below:
"Received the infamous "package", meaning I was sent some worthless goods"
And you'll understand that the Ebay platform hasn't really gone out of its way much for buyers' safety.

·7 months agoYou're advertising your own mistake... I'd say in a pretty dumb way too... a clear example of someone who doesn't read how the marketplace works...
Oh well... have a good evening.

·7 months agoAre you still getting your liver in knots over what happened?
For me hassles last 3 days, then I move on..... otherwise I would have been seeing a psychologist a long time ago.
If I remember right it was an old discussion about the leather handbags where you received leather scraps......
Best regards.

·7 months agoIf the Ebay system leaves you "in your underwear" after a seller has pulled the famous "dirty trick" on you, it is right and proper to inform the other users.
See the discussion a little further below with the title:
"Received the famous "dirty trick" or rather I was sent some worthless goods"
p.s. with all the money the Ebay system has saved me when the economy was still doing well and sellers were hardly ever pulling "dirty tricks", I made a hasty approximate but well-founded calculation, I have virtually put aside at least a couple of thousand euros; do you think, you poor soul of the moment, that I am gnawing at my liver? But do you really think so?

If, after 21 years of operating on eBay, you still don't know that when a shipment is officially "delivered", for eBay it's your problem and not theirs.
Just as it's your problem, and not eBay's, that after 21 years you still haven't understood that this is a public user Forum and not the platform's customer support.

·7 months agoOn any site, with any guarantee, if the postman certifies that he has delivered something to you .... then you can only take it up with him.
