Item not shipped, Ebay has stopped caring about customer protection
I purchased an item on July 22 from a German seller. I never received the item, and I was never provided with a tracking number. I reported the seller's behavior to Ebay, they opened a procedure and closed it without telling me anything. The seller is still there and I have received neither the item nor a refund. Considering that I had made over 20 purchases that year, I would have expected at least some protection, but instead I was scammed and Ebay didn't care

OP10 months agoThat’s not true at all; before writing, you should get better informed. The user never wanted to give me a tracking number. I opened a dispute and sent numerous private messages to the seller urging him to refund me. Ebay claims the item was not covered by warranty and simply ignored my complaint. So what would be the point of making purchases on Ebay if they only take the fees and don’t protect the buyer?
The seller keeps selling, I was scammed. It has been 4 months and I have received no refund.
The seller lied to me several times.
The first time he said he had shipped it. Since the package wasn’t arriving, I contacted him and he told me he had been sick and had shipped it several days after saying he had shipped it. After 1 month I told him I would be going on vacation. He said the package had been sent back, but that’s not true, because my concierge is open 9 hours straight even in August and it never arrived.
Finally he told me he would resend it. Again he didn’t give me a tracking number despite claiming there had been problems with the shipment. After 2 months he said the package was lost. Obviously the responsibility is his, but it’s clear that he lied to me 3 times.
I am a merchant and I always ship with tracked couriers, shipments arrive in Germany within 3 days, no package has ever been lost. If I ship a package and it doesn’t arrive, I obviously refund it myself, since the shipment is my responsibility, as is proper communication with the customer.

·10 months agoThat's not at all how it is, before you write, try to inform yourself better
And where should I inform myself better, in your opinion? This is a community of users like you, not eBay
eBay says the item was not covered by warranty and simply ignored my complaint.
What item is it? How long after the last expected delivery date did you open the dispute (and not complaint, because that is useless)?
Be better informed yourself if you want to be helped, nobody here is a fortune teller.

·10 months agoYou should have contacted eBay support when you were still in the dispute phase; it’s too late now to do anything on eBay because the 30 days have passed.
Open a claim on PayPal specifying that you never received the item.
if you didn’t pay with PayPal but with a credit card, you need to ask the bank to do a chargeback because you paid but received nothing.
Contact the bank and ask how you should proceed.

·10 months agoWhy lie?
The antique plane (the one your negative feedback refers to) was covered by eBay buyer protection, just look at the listing.
You’re the one who didn’t follow the procedure properly.
All you have left is the protection from the payment method you used.

·10 months agoEbay is completely stacked in favor of the buyer, all you have to do is read the rules, which incredibly nobody does.
If the item doesn't arrive, you open a dispute for item not received. After a certain number of days, if nothing changes, you ask eBay to step in and you get refunded. But you have to ask for their intervention, otherwise after a certain number of days eBay closes the dispute.
The seller in question, if it's the one with the negative feedback, shipped it but can't prove it was delivered, because apparently the item was lost, so you would have been refunded.
