Incorrect reserve price
Hello everyone. I listed 3 auctions with low-value items with a reserve price. After one day I decided to cancel all the listings without having received any bids or visits. A few minutes later I receive an email from eBay warning me of an imminent charge to my checking account of over 500 euros.
After a moment of confusion and with a bit of panic I went to check the three listings I had canceled and I realized that I had mistakenly entered (I don’t know how) a very high reserve price, something like 1000 euros and more. How can I avoid paying this amount?
I am acting in good faith because the items put up for auction do not justify such a high reserve price. What should I do?
Help me.

Go here and then to the bottom of the page to contact eBay customer support.

Depending on the case and the situation, they may be able to help you....
That said, I invite you to read up on how reserve price works

Good luck.
Best regards.

With 3 reserve prices you get to a max of 450 euros, but each one has to be over 3000 euros.
When you enter a reserve price, you then have to confirm the listing and the cost appears in the summary. Is it possible that you made the same mistake 3 times in 3 different listings?
Try contacting eBay customer support, fully aware that you're in the wrong and that, if they don't take pity on you, you need to be ready to pay your debt.

OP1 year agoYes, it is possible, especially when it’s the first time you do it.
To stay within eBay’s rules anyway, I was willing to pay the commissions on the reserve price that I had entered the first time for the 3 publications.
Total cost of 59.82 euro (14,96x3).
I suggested to eBay that they not take into account the changes to the reserve price that I had accidentally entered later on.
Cost of 450 euro (150x3).
Total 450+59,82= 509,82 euro.
I didn’t realize the amount I had gotten to because of my ignorance.
Then I decided to cancel the auction because it had not attracted any interest.
By closing the 3 sales, an email arrived with notice of a charge of 509.82 euro to my bank account.
Surprised by this amount I went to check and I understood that I had made a mess.
eBay understood the problem and wiped out my debt, in practice cancelling the 3 listings and inviting me to read the rules when doing things for the first time.
Something to keep in mind I had auctioned 3 items of little value and interest This shows my good faith.
I thank eBay for understanding the situation, proving itself to be a serious company and respectful toward its customers.
