Good evening everyone, I’m Antonio from Bg.
My account has been linked with Google for 2 years, and during these 2 years I have bought and paid with my PayPal.
100% positive, instant payments and never any problems.
Today, after clearing out my daughter’s garage, I put 4 vintage mixers from the 70s and 90s up for sale.
Scheduled for 20:00 today 25/06/2023, but when I schedule them it asks me for additional information about the account. I complete it, send the documents, send the bills that certify it, link my bank, but ...
I receive that my account has been restricted for security reasons and that my account will not be reactivated.
Aside from being called a criminal without proof, and without the possibility of talking it through in a discussion, they decided and that’s it. I don’t understand why, the items are compliant, and they are used, obviously I don’t have receipts or invoices, they were bought at markets and after years put back up for sale.
Now, apart from the fact that I’ve got anxiety and I’m shaken up, what can I do, how is a drastic verdict without appeal or evidence possible. I don’t have the receipts, fine I can’t sell them but disabling my account I don’t understand. I fear that when it happens with someone who maybe out of haste or inexperience clicks, you’re screwed and have no way to appeal to fix it.
I thank whoever can help me, important for an unjust accusation, they have the data, the bank my payments the phone the 2-factor security, it is a used-goods selling platform... but I’m branded as suspended for security reasons.
This isn’t how you do it, it’s not right toward people you don’t know and who are honest, very honest.
Thanks, I hope for kind support

OP3 years agoThank you so much, I’ll take care of it tomorrow because today they close at 6:00 PM, let’s hope they call then.
I’m available to sort it out, and human error can happen, and it’s also part of gaining experience, but by rights there should be the chance to make it right; otherwise it turns into random chaos, which can cause serious problems. I have a heart condition and as soon as I found out, the injustices you can’t fight against hurt a lot.
Anyway, I’ll keep you updated on how the situation develops, even if the mixer was Dylan’s (which I’m going to see in Milan in a little while!)
Thanks to everyone for the prompt and targeted response!

·3 years agoGood evening,
sorry about what happened, but in theory they should have sent you an email explaining the issue...
If you confirm that it was only about "security", then very likely the items put up for sale were unusual or offered at a particular price...
So not knowing what you tried to sell, it’s difficult, if not impossible, to try to form an opinion.
Kind regards.

OP3 years agoGood evening and thanks,
they sent the email, first they asked for documents and bills (but I had already been buying for a while).
The items were 4 used vintage audio mixers in 4 separate sales, scheduled for 8:00 PM today 25/06/2023, and it was about 4:00 PM when I scheduled them.
Regarding the communication, it’s wrong to say to read the rules, I read them and I’m not violating anything, and the explanation was restricted and account disabled:
"...After reviewing the account, I noticed that it was restricted for security-related reasons. Unfortunately, your account will not be reactivated.
For security reasons, we can’t provide you with specific information about the behaviors identified that may pose a risk to our site......"
Are you kidding me, you shut us down because I’m selling 4 mixers, I provided a valid ID, the Enel bill with my details and they close me???? First sale??? And on top of that you don’t explain it to me (that’s how they protect the blunders of the operators) Something doesn’t add up, if there’s a violation here it’s of my rights, hidden behind regulations of the "dog that bites its own tail", I’ve been through this with Samsung, I was right and they closed my posts, then they banned me and in the end I got the new phone and apologies, I’m not putting up with this either this time because of other people’s mistakes!
It’s incredible how they can let other people’s mistakes slide in 1 second without appeal!

·3 years agoSo, as I understand it, there’s already a precedent with eBay.
It’s likely that with that episode you were one step away from the blacklist and now you’ve fallen into it.
It happens with Amazz... too: if you make too many returns and/or “stress” customer care too much, they close your account....
They now have the “monopoly” and do whatever they want: they are private companies with parent companies in the USA and this “attitude” does not violate any European law: you chose to have an account with them, you agreed to their “rules” and so it is assumed that you accepted them.
With its “pros” (few) and its “cons” (many).

OP3 years agoHi, I had no previous experience with eBay; he was referring to a phone bought at a Samsung store and delivered new but broken. Not replaced but repaired, and still broken (like if you buy a brand-new Panda at full price, but it’s dented and they give it back to you filled and painted with their ass) then they tell you to contact them but it’s not possible, so now you have to go on the forum (like here), then you find yourself facing the usual people from the Samsung team who help you by copy-pasting without reading your message. So you put in the keywords to see if they read it, but no, copy and paste, so you write firmly what is true and what Samsung doesn’t want. Result: messages deleted from the forum, but in the end Samsung contacted me directly for a full replacement at their expense. Obviously they have response levels from basic to advanced at 5 stars.
As for the rest of what you wrote, I agree, and unfortunately we are unable to react, to explain, to talk and to assert our rights, I won’t go further or I’ll get long-winded, but by now there’s nothing that works, and if you try to fix it, it’s impossible. PS today at the tax agency (for example) it turns out they rent houses ahahahahah, too much freedom of action without checks for very young people with no experience who don’t give a damn if they make mistakes, and they cover up the wrongdoing. Once upon a time there was honesty and you could be sure of it, the worker admitted the mistake but it was still hard to find a 25-year-old in command of something important without solid experience.
They called today but it came up as spam and I didn’t answer, tomorrow we’ll see, I’ll try to answer, but I wouldn’t want to find out I’ve signed a contract for the rental of a solar-battery moon vacuum cleaner.

·3 years ago😂🤣😂 ...I wouldn't want to find myself signed up to a rental contract for a solar-powered battery vacuum cleaner for the moon! These days you have to be constantly on alert!
As for Samsung, good thing they replied to you, even if after a bit of hassle. And luckily it was Samsung; imagine Chinese brands, wait and hope....
...."it's all copy and paste, by now nothing works, and if you try to fix it it's impossible"...
Can't argue with you there, people are put to work without giving them proper training and there isn't any guilt anymore when, because of their own mistakes, they get other people into trouble!
And I assure you that the support teams for various sites and brands are often understaffed, underpaid and super stressed by the amount of work the individual employee has to deal with; even when they want to do a good job, the operator often loses it and makes mistakes. They want to maximize profits by cutting staff, moving it offshore and paying it as little as possible; in fact now they are increasingly replacing them with virtual assistants. 😠 We're in bad shape! 😱
I hope you manage to solve your situation. Have a good day

·3 years agoWhen you submit the request they call you after a few minutes, so you can ignore the unwanted call filter.
I’ve been registered on eBay since 2003 and I’ve never received a promotional call from them or a privacy breach of my personal data.
Anyway, activity on eBay is monitored by an algorithm that, when it detects anomalies, can also limit and/or block an account.
If the algorithm detects that an account has links to another account that has been restricted, it automatically also limits the other account.
Using IPs that are blacklisted for dangerous / suspicious activity (for example using a proxy or a VPN) could lead to the account being blocked, putting a notable quantity of items and/or value of items up for sale for the first time could raise the system’s alarm, etc.
Anyway, something happened, an account is not limited without reason.
Kind regards.

OP3 years agoHello and thanks,
in fact now I selected call me, and they called me, I received an email saying it was a temporary thing and to contact each other through the phone link.
So that’s how it went, and after I explained my reasons, the young lady or lady didn’t let me speak, she said they had sent me emails on various already blocked accounts, that they had called me and spoken with me, and that it was permanently blocked and that every attempt was blocked. I asked for explanations and copies of the email sent to me from the other accounts, I asked which emails they were so I could understand, I asked for copies of the phone recordings, at least to understand whether some hacker had carried out a breach, (and we know that’s possible, I’ve received attacks with breaches of rockstar activision battlenet epic accounts and a Russian one, with hellish chaos to recover them). But in a heavy and arrogant tone, without giving me any room, she ruled that she had spoken with me, that they had sent me emails (never received, which makes me suspect hacking), accusing me without giving me any room or possibility to speak, ask and/or explain, shutting me off from the phone and from any possibility of being able to contact and use ebay. It hurts a lot that because of inexperienced people, other people are harmed. I am a designer for special German Salomon automotive parts, and I would never stoop to strange things. It’s a shame that a little girl from outside Europe can arrogantly brand me without me having any chance of legal redress either, because in the end you are dealing with a giant. What can I say, you help a person lying on the ground, you rescue them and someone accuses you of having run them over, and you can’t defend yourself. Bitterness, and more and more certainty that we are poor slaves. Thanks.
PS if then someone has another way to manage to understand or discuss, that would be welcome.
The operator did not identify herself, anonymous.
sika700
·3 years agoIt wasn’t the "little girl" who made the decision to block your account!
There are other departments that make the decisions (and they don’t answer the phone!)... the "little girl" can only confirm the decision that other departments have made.
So it’s pointless to take it out on the last wheel on the wagon.
Have a good day.

·3 years agoIf you have had any issues with a previous account, all the other accounts suffer the same fate.
I'm sorry for what happened, but even a "POSSIBLE" compromise of one or more accounts can represent a risk for the eBay platform.
There can be many possibilities and in any case eBay always sends an email that warns you and briefly explains the reason for a restriction or block.
The emails on eBay are deleted after 6 months, so you need to try to recover the email addresses of the other blocked accounts, maybe the one from which the first block started, and see if you can log into the email account and find the email there, also checking the spam folder.
Unfortunately there are no other solutions to sell in your own name.
The only thing you can do is use a new computer or a virtual machine with a new OS that gives you a new UUID with a virtual network interface with a new MAC address, possibly with a new internet connection, and open an account in another person's name (a relative), including a checking account in their name, and sell the items from there, trying to start with a few items of not too high value.
Avoid logging in with your old accounts even by mistake because you risk them blocking the one you may have opened too.
Kind regards.

·3 years agostrange, so far every time ( quite a few.... ) I’ve spoken with E-bay operators ( both by phone, by chat, and when there were emails ) , they have always identified themselves....
