Purchase proposals for the same item, different accounts, identical text
Good morning, I keep getting repeated proposals for my item from different users who, however, have the same profile photo (i.e. a text image) and the exact same text, even the mistakes are identical. I’m an honest person and I wouldn’t want to end up in the hands of some scammer. How can I tell? The feedback is all in German or English and very similar... Thanks

I’d also add, in my opinion, that putting up listings (.......completely to be revised both in the content and in the prices.... ) that lend themselves to "attracting" certain characters ( ..... including any time-wasting jokers....) means, in part, asking for it.....

OP2 years agoThanks for the info, but I want to point out that the listing had no wrong intent; I put in what was suggested to me, but since I'm not an expert I may have made a mistake. If you can point me to a reliable site for estimates, I'd appreciate it

·2 years agoIn the meantime block those 2 users by putting them on the blacklist. Then remove the proposed option, which does nothing but attract problems, because it makes the other side think there’s plenty of room to negotiate, you waste time, money, and if you don’t satisfy them you even end up with a negative f.back and you’ll never get out of it.
Also, as advice, always examine profiles carefully, checking the registration date and reading all the feedback; the percentage of positive or negative only takes the last 12 months into account (but this only applies to sellers since buyers cannot receive negatives).
Then a good amount of risk always remains.

·2 years agoHere is a brief memo so you don’t fall into the so-called selling syndrome that English sellers call 'sales syndrome': 1) when messages arrive about great interest in your listing and suggesting that you could agree on an in-person pickup offsite, decline and end it there 2) when proposals arrive to ship your item to Burundi because the cousin who lives near Lake Tanganyika is passionate about 5-lira coins from 1955 but has to go to the bank to withdraw cash deep in the mountain gorilla forest and asks you for your account number for an immediate bank transfer, do not reply. 3 ) If a message arrives, or more than one, full of errors in any language, like.. dear friend, I am very interesed in your coin of 300 euri. If you tell me what you have to do to buy it I’ll pay you even 350 euri. I am a professional numismatic. In this case too you are not talking to a real enthusiast.
