Question: I submitted negative feedback for a seller and it was immediately deleted as soon as I posted it.
Summary: sebasdemur asked for clarification on why negative feedback sent to a seller was immediately deleted. magic.cool, heavenwelkin, and daxsisko participated in the discussion, but the details of their responses are not available.
Notice. Attention buyers and the community I am part of. I sent negative feedback to a seller, and it was immediately deleted as soon as it was posted, after an hour in his feedback. I’m including below the negative feedback I sent: Attention buyers, the seller refused to cancel the order I requested (due to my mistake), saying that he had shipped the item on May 29, while the shipping data shows the item was sent on June 2, 2026. So it could have been canceled, and the payment refunded to me. The seller told false lies, a skilled and very cunning person. He sells fake coins on his site and does not say that they are reproductions. I am a numismatic scholar and I know very well the authentic coins from the fake ones, which are junk. I said this for the protection of buyers and for honest sellers. Where is the protection for buyers, from dishonest sellers? There should be a commission to check sales. ? Many buyers are very disappointed. I am also bitter about what is happening. Seller’s site to be taken down. Thank you for your attention.

·2 months agoin addition to what has already been said by the other users who intervened: speaking in general, therefore not in the specific case, (which, if one knows the rules, one is, in my opinion, amply protected in the event of scams) frankly on Ebay there is more reason to beware of differently honest buyers, or more simply of incompetent people who buy material that, due to their ignorance (or inability, as you prefer.....) or simply because they can, open disputes for the most varied reasons.....

·2 months agoAssuming that “usually” sellers allow cancellations to avoid post-sale issues (it is still a bit of a forced move to ship an item that was bought by mistake or for other reasons) and more experienced buyers know they can open a claim for non-conformity that can easily damage the seller, so usually sellers, to avoid problems, go along with buyers.
As for the feedback, I need to inform you that the feedback you left does not comply with eBay’s guidelines. For more information you can read here:
https://www.ebay.it/help/policies/feedback-policies/regole-sui-feedback?id=4208
In my view, your feedback was not in line with eBay’s guidelines because
- it was not about the item, but focused on describing the seller negatively
- the feedback content is public and was clearly defamatory, so eBay, to avoid legal issues, removed it.
Feedback removal can happen automatically (if they removed it after 1 hour, I think it was removed automatically) or at the seller’s request.
As for the item you received, you can quite easily open a dispute for item not as described.
The seller will have to provide a return label, but if they sold you a counterfeit coin, they probably will not even be willing to pay return shipping costs.
If the seller does not provide a return label, you can get eBay involved and at that point you will receive a full refund without needing to send anything back.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Kind regards.

·2 months agoYou are probably an excellent numismatic scholar, but you should also study the eBay rules better.
And you will see that no seller is OBLIGATED to cancel a sale (even if, in fact, they COULD do so).
And you will also discover that no seller is OBLIGATED to combine multiple orders into a single shipment and no seller is OBLIGATED to leave positive feedback.
They CAN do it, but nobody OBLIGES them to.
PS: However, if you have all the elements needed to contest the sale of a fake (and/or deceptive reproduction), you can always report the matter to the competent authorities: in this case they CAN, indeed they would undoubtedly be OBLIGATED to do so...
