Smartphone return, I have some doubts...
Summary: geek_bay expressed concerns about returning a smartphone. tottis711 and pollo_bionico took part in the conversation, but the specific details of the message content are not available.
Good evening everyone.
A few days ago I bought a smartphone on eBay, which arrived yesterday.
Also yesterday I started using it, but right away I realized I don’t like it from a software point of view (too chaotic, distracting, not very practical), so I decided to return it. My return was accepted, but I received the following message from the seller:
"for the right of withdrawal/change of mind the product must not have been used the box and accessories must be as with a new product as delivered
also no type of account or locks must have been inserted
the product, box, accessories must show no signs of wear/used if all this should not be as per ebay policy
as well as by law of the european community that regulate
distance selling the cost of the loss in value of the item will be deducted up to 70% partial refund
therefore I advise you to check all the points listed above before proceeding with the return
thank you".
Obviously the smartphone has been reset and put back in its original packaging, I also put back the film that is stuck on the screen (the one that is there when you buy a new smartphone). I didn’t even touch the charging cable, everything is in the same condition as when it arrived to me, clearly the only thing I can’t put back are the outer seals of the box.
Now I’m worried that I won’t be refunded the full amount for the smartphone, especially because it didn’t cost little, and above all because I REALLY used it VERY LITTLE.
I’m asking you for some guidance.
Thanks everyone!
