Refund request for damaged item

Vinyl record shipped with UPS in a tried-and-tested package with never any problems, the buyer contacts me for a refund because the package and the record are said to be damaged, first claiming that the package was left in the condominium garden, then in the building lobby in his absence; when I refuse, he opens a dispute, sends photos of the package and the damaged record, I do a search on the UPS site and according to the courier’s report there is a photo of the package perfectly intact and left at the entrance to his apartment at his request because he was not home; I send everything to eBay... eBay rules against me despite the buyer’s blatant dishonesty, what can I do about it?

Ebay solitamente in questi casi si rimette a quelle che sono le regolamentazioni dei servizi di pagamento visa/mastercard e suoi derivati come paypal.

Se un venditore riceve una contestazione per oggetto non conforme alla descrizione l'unica cosa "saggia" da fare e' quella di rientrare in possesso dell'oggetto a sue spese.

Una volta rientrato in possesso dell'oggetto, se si riceve qualcosa di diverso si puo' fare denuncia e poi fare appello ad ebay allegando prove + denuncia e vedere come evolve l'appello.

Cerca di rientrare in possesso dell'oggetto, non metterti di traverso che poi rischi che se non fornisci etichetta di restituzione entro i termini previsti perdi l'oggetto e i soldi del rimborso.

you've been on eBay for years, even as a seller........ in my opinion you should know it by heart, if only for the simple fact that you should know eBay's rules..... or just have read the forum and/or sites where there are hundreds of these cases (or similar ones.....)
