Pickup in the area
I made a purchase a few days ago with local pickup, but due to problems I can no longer pick it up. I already made the payment through eBay. Can I now receive a refund since I won't have the product?

·9 months agoYou paid by credit card or PayPal directly on eBay and the delivery of the item is confirmed with a QR code to scan.
Now, if this QR code is not scanned (for whatever reason), the sale is considered not completed.
The situation as it stands should be the following:
What happens if you don't meet up and the QR therefore isn't scanned?
The sale is NOT considered completed because there is no proof of delivery.
The seller cannot prove that they gave you the item, so they have to refund you.
If they don't cooperate, you can open a claim on eBay, which will side with you, since no QR was scanned = no delivery took place.
Contact the seller (if you haven't already), and politely ask for a refund, since the delivery can't take place.

scroll to the bottom of the page where it says "ask us to call you" so an eBay agent can call you.
