Hello, eBay keeps updating and keeps not working! I bought an item that never arrived, I opened a dispute requesting a refund...eBay closes it saying there is no refund because it has a signed delivery document! Too bad the signature is fake, it’s not mine! Result...I no longer buy on eBay and I’m taking the opportunity to warn other users.
Thanks
Alvaro

·2 years agoWait, I didn't get it, basically a courier can deliver the package to a person different from the recipient without the buyer being able to do anything about it?

·2 years agoThe problem is that, with its statement, the courier certifies that the package was delivered to the address on the label. Generally they also put the name of the person they deliver it to, but that's not always the case.
That's why the platform (any platform) accepts what the courier declared.
In these cases, the buyer is left with no choice but to take it up with the courier.

·2 years agoI confirm what they’ve already told you, unfortunately couriers from the so-called innpoi period no longer have you sign, so disowning the signature is impossible. Maybe the only case where they do have you sign is when the seller also includes and pays for the return receipt.
The system that has come about is extremely wrong, it now affects all couriers and also the shipments of the much-praised Amazon.
Maybe we users should start raising the issue and bombarding both the couriers or, better yet, the platforms eBay, Amazon, etc. with requests to go back to the old handwritten signature, threatening otherwise not to use their services, so they will put pressure on the couriers for a change of direction.
Obviously this should be done en masse; a few users don’t make noise and are negligible, but as we know in Italy, until something affects us personally we don’t care, and then it’s too late to complain...

·2 years agoGood evening Alvaro
In the digital age there is no fake signature, but simply a scan of a barcode or confirmation of delivery through a tap on the handheld device.
If only there had been a PHYSICAL signature made with a pen (FAKE), you could have filed a report by disputing the signature, but as things stand any complaint becomes useless.
Sooner or later they will have to put a patch on this thing because the situation is getting out of hand......
Ebay is not the only “victim” of this “new” delivery management system.......
I'm sorry for what happened.
Best regards.
