If I cancel an order that has already been paid for, within how many business days is the buyer refunded?
Also, I would like to know if the seller who cancels an order that has already been paid for is charged a fee for canceling the order, and if so, how much?
ex: I cancel the order because of the wrong address

·1 year agoAs heavenwelkin correctly says, you won’t recover the sponsorship money, but what you’re saying strikes me as a bit odd. As the seller and not at fault, if the buyer entered the wrong address, ask them to request cancellation of the order, because (maybe not because of address issues) but if you cancel it for any other reason, it will be flagged as a defect in the metrics.

OP1 year agoI had to cancel right after shipping and once it’s been shipped it doesn’t let you cancel it for the buyer

·1 year agoThis NEW feature was recently introduced, where buyers can cancel an order directly without asking the seller for permission before the item is marked as shipped.
Once you have marked the package as shipped, if you realize you entered the wrong shipping address or if the buyer tells you they wrote the address incorrectly, you have two options.
- Cancel the sale and then ask your shipping broker to reverse the shipping label charge.
- Ship it anyway to the address shown on eBay.
I recommend canceling to avoid the package being held in storage and a dispute being opened against you, with funds blocked, etc. Even if you are in the right, an automated dispute never ends in a predictable way, and then there is the issue of bureaucracy and the time to devote to the claim process.
Best regards.

Meanwhile, I invite you to take a look here:

as the buyer, you don't pay anything.
The seller can cancel for their own reasons or because you asked them to.
In both cases, if the seller cancels a sale, they don't pay anything, and you get a 100% refund
Kind regards.

OP1 year agoSince I'm the seller, I wanted to know whether, if the order is canceled for X reason, eBay keeps the sponsorship money as compensation. Because I'm afraid that by canceling I'll lose something, even though I'm acting in good faith

·1 year agoIf you are the seller and you promoted the item, you lose the promotion cost.
The promotion is never refunded to you, whether you cancel the sale or whether you sell the item.
Basically, when and if you have to relist that item, you will have to (optionally) pay for a new promotion.
Kind regards.
