Scam?
Summary: The thread starts with alessandra_64 raising a concern about a possible "truffa" (scam). heavenwelkin responds, but no additional content is provided about the topic in question.
Good evening, last night I placed an order for a product; the order was duly confirmed with a message received from e bay. Yesterday I received another message from E bay where I was notified of the cancellation of the order and the refund because I supposedly requested the cancellation of the same order, but that is absolutely false. Shortly after, a message arrives on watsapp from a supposed call center asking me whether I wanted to confirm the order or not; since I smelled a scam, I immediately blocked the contact. Do you think the e bay messages were fake?

Once the seller receives the payment, they receive the shipping details and your phone number.
If the seller cancels the sale, this should not go ahead because otherwise you are not protected by eBay.
You did the right thing not to proceed.
The eBay messages were correct.
The seller stated as the reason for the cancellation that you requested it so as not to take a defect on the sale.
You can report this seller to eBay through this page:

Kind regards
