scam 75 euro Xbox Live key - 75 euro Microsoft credit - Xbox 360 / Xbox One Live card-
today I get an email that says

I've never bought this item, I contacted eBay and after grilling me for ages saying that they found no access violation on my profile (I have two-step verification) they accused me, saying that probably it was some family member of mine who bought the codes.
They treated me like an idiot and said they can't do anything.
The seller has 232 negative feedbacks and in the last month 59 feedbacks, most of them with the same problem as mine — evidently there's a loophole and this scammer keeps going unchecked.
When I saw the feedback I called eBay again but it was almost 6 p.m. and they told me they were reporting the seller and that they would contact me tomorrow.
what can I do?

In any case the seller responds to the negative feedback and among the various replies there's this one:
"we are sorry, your account was hacked by the hacked, but it is not under our control. We are contacting you regarding the negative feedback you left for your recent order."
which translated says:
"we are sorry, your account has been hacked by hackers, but it is not under our control. We are contacting you regarding the negative feedback you left for your recent order."
Have you tried contacting the seller to have the order canceled by explaining the problem?

OP2 years agothanks for the reply,
I had set up the credit card, tomorrow I will contact the bank and then I’ll see what eBay replies.
In the meantime I removed the card from eBay and, to be safe, I also removed all payment methods from PayPal and from the current account I deleted the automatic payments.
so I’ll do as you said and uninstall the app.
as soon as I know something, I’ll update you.

·2 years agoIt definitely happened via smartphone.
If that's the case, maybe it's worth logging the account out of the app or uninstalling the app.
Because if this flaw is out there, it could happen again.
If some malicious application takes control of the eBay app and starts an order, in the end everything starts from your phone, your IP, your geographic location, so it looks like you placed the order.
eBay could resolve it and refund you or not, so in that case consider filing a complaint and then opening a dispute through PayPal (if the payment was made with PayPal) or through your bank (if the payment was made with a credit card).
Let us know how it develops and whether eBay takes action.
Best regards.
