·3 years agoYou can report suspicious IDs, but as you’ve already been told, you have to be sure it’s the same person, because if the other profile is a compliant friend’s, then it’s another individual who can perfectly well place their bids in the relaunch, and at that point the report wouldn’t make sense. You should follow the auctions over time and see whether the same thing keeps happening in order to have at least some grounded doubt. I know it’s a dishonest practice but unfortunately it can happen; if the auctions don’t convince you, don’t take part, or if you really want that item, make bids up to a limit you set for yourself (if you manage not to get caught up in the auction challenge!) and don’t go beyond it, maybe placing your maximum preset amount in the last few seconds so that any other complicit profile doesn’t have the time to bid higher. Remember, though, that the seller can always cancel the sale.

User IDs are hidden so you can't be certain about what you're saying.
Even if the practice is not allowed by ebay, some sellers list items for 1 euro to test the market and, of course, protect the item with the help of a complicit account that could belong to a friend or relative.
If you suspect that on the other side there is a seller who does not want to give away or sell an item cheaply, your best bet is simply to place your offer and wait.
Or you can try contacting the seller and asking roughly what price they expect to get from the sale.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a great bargain, this auction might not be the right one for you.

·3 years agoThe algorithms are not able to discern that it's a test..... if your account gets blocked then to unblock it you need help from the higher-ups.....
This is one of the many reasons why I don't use my main seller account here on the forum.
