Seller cancels already paid and confirmed purchase order
I've been on eBay since 2005, but this had never happened to me before. I buy a CD with Buy It Now. The purchase is immediately paid by me with PayPal and I receive confirmation that I’ll get it at home shortly. Half an hour later, to my surprise, everything is canceled and refunded because the item, I’m told, has already been sold. Two days later the item is back on sale in another account, with the price increased 19 times over!
I’ve formed a pretty sleazy idea of what happened. But is it possible that all this is legal?

·2 years agoMore than anything else, check by email the reason for the cancellation.......
some sellers, besides canceling, declare that the cancellation was requested by the buyer, so they don't even get the defect.
Best regards.

·2 years agoIt happens, it happens... what I do is report the situation to eBay, especially when a seller has more than one account, then whether something happens or not, we don’t know.

·2 years agoDon’t worry, it happens; it happened to me years ago too, even though the items were not relisted with another account.
If you were refunded, you didn’t suffer any loss and therefore you can’t claim anything; the seller can cancel for any reason of their own, then whether their behavior is ethically correct or not is another matter, but by refunding you they didn’t take anything from you.
You could leave negative feedback, but besides solving nothing, you also risk it being removed since it counts as a full refund.

·2 years agoIn this specific case, he can safely leave negative feedback and it won't be removed if it follows the rules on the proper use of feedback.
Negative feedback could be removed automatically when a buyer opens a dispute with eBay for an item not as described and, after returning the item, receives a full refund (depending on the case).
Kind regards.
