3D printing sector, LLC with VAT number. Today I read this message and it made my blood boil. It’s incredible how on eBay there are so many sellers who undercut prices in our sector, selling without a VAT number, and eBay lets them do it. Not only that, but since these users have no tax burden like we companies do, they undercut prices and make the market and sales to honest companies that pay taxes collapse.
eBay, instead of fighting these users (a private seller who lists 10+ available, does custom color options, etc.), rewards them by removing every selling fee and allowing them to illegally flood the market.
Personally, I’ve expanded onto platforms where only businesses can sell, and sales have increased exponentially compared to eBay.
Am I really the only one who’s stunned by this situation?

·1 week ago · Editedfrankly, the change does not change private sellers' ability to play on any possible price drop ........ we will only have to consider that from now on the commissions will be paid by the buyer and no longer by private sellers, consequently the latter will decide whether to keep the price as it was before September 1st or lower it (and therefore in fact taking on, in whole or in part, the commissions they used to pay beforehand .......)

·1 week agoI'll play devil's advocate too because I have a professional account and this thing annoys me quite a bit too, but I can imagine that forcing the user to shoulder the selling fees means an added expense and would force the private seller, to stay competitive, to lower their price and reduce their margin....

Anyone who behaves that way is just a thief and should be treated as such.
Even buyers need to wake up; if someone is ready to scam the state and eBay, what respect can they have for a buyer?
