Royal Canin listing mistakenly removed as “prescription-only drug”

Good morning, I’d like to know if this has happened to anyone else too. I listed a brand new, sealed 1.5 kg package of Royal Canin Satiety Weight Management for cats and eBay removed the listing by applying the policy related to prescription drugs. The product is not a drug and does not require a prescription: it is a complete dietary food for cats . I have already disputed the removal, but in the reply I received eBay even claims that the product contains “ingredients that require a prescription from a licensed professional,” without however saying which ingredients these would be. What leaves me even more puzzled is that the exact same Royal Canin Satiety Weight Management 1.5 kg is currently being sold on eBay Italy by another private seller . I have been registered on eBay since 2007 , I have 100% positive feedback , and I have never had any problems or violations. In the past I also sold two packages of Royal Canin dietary food for dogs without any issues. I have already written to customer service specifically asking for a manual review by a human operator and am waiting for a reply. Has anyone had similar false positives with the prescription drugs policy and managed to get the listing actually reviewed again? My main concern is that, even if it is restored, the automatic system may block it again and that these mistaken removals could affect my account.

Dispute lost due to lack of eBay support

Good morning everyone, something happened to me that I find disturbing on eBay's part. I sold a very high-value item, sending the buyer the complete photos of how I had packed it in the chat on eBay. When the package arrived at its destination, the buyer opened a refund request, sending photos of a completely different package and saying that "it wasn't like in the photos": so I opened the dispute, sending the UPS courier photos taken at delivery. In the meantime I received several emails from eBay support: 1 saying that the dispute was under review, 2 saying that I should make the return. I wrote over and over again (4 or 5 times) in chat on eBay asking whether I should issue the refund or wait for the dispute decision, but I NEVER received a reply or they told me they would contact me by email. Now I've lost 3500 euros and the product because eBay wasn't able to assist me, since according to whoever judged the dispute, I should have created the refund label. Obviously I would like to appeal: how do I do it? I would also like to sue eBay for complete lack of support for sellers... I hope someone can help me.

      listing issues

I hadn't posted any sale listings for a long time and I remember it was simple and everything was clear, today I tried to put a camera lens up for sale but I couldn't, the system keeps automatically setting absurd auction sale amounts or it doesn't let me choose things like shipping etc. Am I the one who no longer knows how, or have they "improved" the site to such an extent? Thanks for any replies

Make interactions with buyers more effective: replace offers with a welcome voucher

Good morning, as a professional seller I’ve noticed that the purchase proposals sent to buyers are often ignored. I believe the reason is simple: many customers perceive them as an attempt to apply pressure, something unnatural in their buying journey. To improve the user experience and increase the likelihood of conversion, I propose replacing this tool with a welcome discount voucher . It’s a more elegant solution, less invasive, and more in line with the expectations of modern customers, who appreciate benefits but don’t want to feel pushed. A discreet, well-presented incentive can create an immediate positive impact, build trust, and encourage purchase without causing annoyance. What do you think?

      Twenty-year customer disappointed

I did not receive a package with two pairs of jeans. The Bertolini courier told Ebay and my seller that it had been delivered. The package was not picked up by the doorman at the delivery address because the concierge was closed from 12:30 to 14:00, and the courier marked it as delivered at 13:36 without any delivery receipt or signature confirming receipt of the package. The shipment is entirely the seller's responsibility and, in any case, after the report Ebay did not reimburse me for the value of the jeans. I have been an Ebay buyer customer for more than 20 years, always paying on time and with thousands of all positive feedback, and after this unpleasant issue I believe I will never buy anything on Ebay again because they did not protect me at all.

      Seller vanished, item not shipped

I bought a collector's doll at an auction for a very high amount, and after 3 days it still showed as not shipped, even though that was the deadline for shipping it. I wrote to the seller and got no response. The next day I tried to cancel the order, sending another message as well, nothing, and today still nothing. Customer service unavailable — what do you do in cases like this?

      RETURN OF NON-CONFORMING ITEM

Hello, I bought a used smartphone from a private seller. The item was described as like new, perfect in every way. As soon as it arrived I saw that it was indeed in excellent cosmetic condition and worked, so much so that I hastily gave positive feedback. The next day, while I was setting it up, I noticed that it had a serious display problem: it was a strong yellow tone that could not be fixed in any way, not even after resetting it to factory settings. I started asking the seller for information, and at first he said that it is normal for a 3-year-old phone, then he changed course and said he hadn't noticed. From there on, more heated messages followed and he said that if I'm not happy with it I can open a dispute. The sale was marked as no returns accepted. Later I add a non-positive comment to the feedback. The next day I take photos of the phone to prove the defect and I warn the seller that I would open a claim for return of the item as it does not match the description. I receive no response and I open a return request. Soon I receive an email that the seller accepted the return, and that he should send me a shipping label. Shortly after, however, he does not send a label, but instead a proposal for a partial refund of 1 euro. I give up and contact him asking for an explanation of the ridiculous offer and what he intended to do. We're talking about a sum of 230 euros. No response. The phone was delivered to me 3 days ago, on July 8, and the return request was sent on July 10. I’m asking for advice on how to proceed, I’m not at all experienced with these kinds of procedures. Thanks. Luca

Order not fulfilled and impossible to find

Hello. On June 12, 2026 I purchased a book, the amount of which was duly charged to me; shipping confirmed on June 15 with the relative order and item numbers ; delivery expected between June 23 and June 29; to date, nothing received. The problem is that with those numbers there is no shipment listed on the eBay site, so it is impossible to perform any search! How should I proceed? Thank you. Kind regards. Vincenzo

Claim for item not received because the package was not collected

Hello, I am a professional seller. The buyer did not pick up the package at the pickup point because he wrote that he was on vacation. Now the package is being returned. He opened a dispute and wants a refund, but according to eBay's rules, he is responsible for the failed delivery. So, if I contact eBay, they will decide in my favor, right? And they will remove any negative feedback. Is that correct?

Sale item in Canada, requests compensation for item not arrived, is compensated and the package is delivered and he picks it up without any issues

Hello, I wanted to share this misadventure, I sold a Vintage Toy to a Canadian user, while the package was in transit, he asked to be compensated for an item not delivered, I explained to eBay that the package is regularly in transit, all of it can be documented in the tracking, he asked for intervention from customer service which, without much preamble, decided to reimburse him on 12/06/2026, I appeal to tell them that the package is in transit but nothing, meanwhile the user blocks me by putting me on a blacklist and no longer replies to my messages, the package keeps moving and yesterday 29/06/2026 it was delivered to the user who collected it regularly, official eBay tracking that shows it as delivered, they removed the call, I submitted the request several times via chat, I want to see if they give me a hand, because I call this a SCAM, I can't find any other words to comment on it . I repeat, trackable package, tracking on Poste Italiane and regularly delivered yesterday to the user who picked it up without any problems, basically I lost the item / shipping costs / paid the fees ????? for free ........... Thanks !!! Best regards to everyone .
