Good morning, today I can't access the eBay Shipping console, neither through the link provided by eBay nor directly, it doesn't recognize me. now I see that the chat with support also has some problems, is that happening for you too?

Public seller profile error after username change: “Sorry, this user was not found”

Good morning, I’m writing here because for over 30 days I’ve been trying to solve a technical issue related to my public seller profile, without being able to get any real handling through phone support, chat, or a ticket. The problem started after the username change made on April 19, 2026. My current username is “asakamodels”. The account works normally: - I can log in from the web and the app; - the listings are active; - the listings are visible and can be purchased. The problem, however, concerns the public seller profile linked to the username. In my case, when I access my seller account, the problem shows up both on the web and in the mobile app: when I click on my username/seller profile, the public profile does not open correctly and the message appears: “Sorry, this user was not found.” On the potential buyer side, however, from the tests I’ve done the problem seems to show up especially in the eBay mobile app: clicking on my seller name from one of my listings or from the “Other items from this seller” section, the public profile does not open correctly and the same error message appears. So this is not a login, cache, browser, cookie, device, or app reinstallation issue. The error also appears on the buyer side. From what I can see, the error also appears simply by opening the profile ( view listing ) from this discussion of mine. I have already contacted eBay support several times. A case was opened, SR# 1-506131833451, but the case was mistakenly classified as a login/cache issue, while the real problem concerns the public seller profile / username resolution / seller profile visibility. In a chat on July 6, 2026, an eBay agent checked the problem directly and confirmed seeing the error “Sorry, this user was not found.” I was told that the case would be transferred to another department, but I have not received an updated case number, a written confirmation of the escalation, or any traceable technical feedback. I’d also like to point out that the email address customerhelp_it@ebay.com , from which I had received communications related to the ticket, was described to me in chat as an address used by eBay to send communications, but to which it’s not possible to reply. That would explain why my replies and follow-ups by email never got any response. The issue is important because on the buyer side it can undermine trust in the seller: a customer who tries to open my profile sees a message saying the user was not found. I’m asking whether anyone has already had a similar problem after a username change and whether there is a correct technical channel to have the synchronization between username, seller account, public profile, and feedback page checked. Thanks.

Private seller selling brand-new preorder items in bulk

I see private sellers on Ebay selling products that are still on pre-order in bulk (even 10 - 20 pieces).   Can they do that?   Wouldn't a sale like that be considered a sale made in a professional manner?   In this way they sell at lower prices than professional sellers who have to pay taxes and higher Ebay fees.

Appeal for a dispute closed in favor of the buyer

Good morning everyone, below I’ll briefly tell you about my experience after completing a sale of a motorcycle part to a buyer in Indonesia. A guy contacts me saying he was interested in one of my replacement parts and, after agreeing, he buys it from me and pays me via EBAY for the total amount of 400 euros. Soon after, I receive an email from EBAY saying I had to add the information for incoming payments, otherwise the funds could not be transferred, and, unaware of everything, I follow the procedure on EBAY and add my usual bancoposta IBAN. I then receive another email informing me that the information had been updated. Meanwhile I download and pay via EBAY for the shipping label and send everything promptly. I track the shipment for a few days and after a while I realize that my parcel was stuck in Rho at customs. The buyer also notices this and asks me for an explanation. I quickly get to work contacting DHL shipping service and after a day they reply saying that the parcel was held at customs because the recipient refuses to pay customs duties. I contact the buyer to ask for info and he tells me he never received any email about how to proceed. I contact DHL again explaining this and they tell me to provide a valid email and phone number for the recipient, which I promptly do and send them. After a few days I receive an email from EBAY saying that the funds from the sale had been credited to my IBAN and would be available shortly. After 3/4 days, not seeing any credit on my bancoposta IBAN, I understand that something is wrong and discover that an IBAN from Monte dei Paschi di Siena was registered on EBAY, which I absolutely do not know at all. From this moment I understand that something went wrong and that someone else had received a credit of my money. Meanwhile the days pass and the buyer tells EBAY he did not receive the item and after a few days I receive an email saying that the dispute had been closed and that the buyer had received a full refund because my account was compromised and that I was not at fault at all. Needless to say how many phone calls I must have made to EBAY and how many emails I sent, but nothing happened. Now EBAY wants 400 euros from me because the payment is still pending on my account. In short, I lost the replacement parts together with the proceeds, which were credited to some unknown IBAN, and on top of that eBay is asking me for another 400 euros for the refund issued to the buyer. Has anyone had an experience like this? Do you recommend a way to proceed? Moreover, eBay tells me that it is not possible to appeal this decision

      Package insurance

Good evening, for the first time I should send a fragile parcel with insurance, but I didn't understand whether the cost is my responsibility or the buyer's; in that case the buyer would pay for shipping and insurance, so in the field " the buyer pays" should I enter the total cost? Thanks in advance to anyone who can give me some info

To add insult to injury. Ebay is not a safe place for honest sellers!

It’s been a few weeks now that I’ve been having problems with a buyer. From the feedback left, it’s clearly obvious how shady he is. He has left a lot of negative feedback to get refunds and keep the items. So I figure he often opens disputes unfairly. I sold this guy from Chieti a ring and a gold medallion. Sent by registered mail. First he opened a dispute for item not as described because he claimed the ring weighed less than one gram, which isn’t true and anyway it wasn’t specified in the listing, so he closed it. Then he opens a second one for Medallion not received, which is also not true... What should I do? For now I’ve blocked him from making further purchases. The eBay community should protect both buyers and sellers because they have the same rights. Which was promptly disproven, in fact yesterday eBay sided with the buyer even though the item was reported as delivered, so on top of the damage there’s the insult of having to refund him too, as well as losing the item. I tried to appeal by also sending the registered-mail receipt, but I don’t think the matter will be resolved favorably.

To avoid delays in future incoming payments, you need to confirm your account details

I've been trying for two weeks to do what eBay asks, without any result. Every time I try and click SUBMIT, the nice message "an error occurred, try again later" appears Now, after two weeks, I don't think it's a "temporary service outage" One of two things is happening: either some data is missing for some reason or it's not happy with it (and then you should give me a specific error, not such a generic one), or eBay is in such bad shape that it can't fix a bug like this on their servers in two weeks!! At this point I try to contact them, I make the request for the call and I get an email saying I didn't answer (it never rang) I try again on the landline, another email, same thing. On the third attempt the cell phone finally rings, but after less than a minute of conversation, everything goes silent and the line drops. Obviously nobody calls me back. But what's going on? Is this platform perhaps failing? Because judging by these glitches, it would seem so...

      Zero sales

Nothing sells on eBay anymore, I'm tired of paying the shop fees and running campaigns where we're definitely not the ones making money, I'm closing the shop

Since sponsored ads and promotional campaigns were added, we are suffering huge losses

IN THIS LATEST PERIOD, SINCE SPONSORED LISTINGS AND AUTOMATIC PROMOTIONAL CAMPAIGNS HAVE BEEN PUT IN PLACE, WE ARE INCURRING BIG LOSSES. FOR US SELLERS, THE IMPACT HAS BEEN HEAVY. SPONSORED LISTINGS PUSH ORGANIC ONES DOWN. IF YOU DON’T SPONSOR, YOU LOSE VISIBILITY, AND IF YOU DO SPONSOR, YOU GET EATEN UP. SO IT’S A PAY-TO-PAY SYSTEM THAT I DON’T LIKE, BECAUSE WE STILL PAY FOR LISTINGS WITH A MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION AND THE OLD EBAY STANDARDS HAVE BEEN LOST. MANY ACCEPT HIGH SPONSORSHIP PERCENTAGES JUST TO SELL; FEES GO UP AND REAL PRICES NO LONGER HAVE A MARKET. WITH THE DISCOUNTS SUGGESTED BY EBAY, THEY DON’T TAKE REAL MARGINS INTO ACCOUNT: FEES + SPONSORSHIP + OPERATING COSTS. THERE IS AN ILLUSION OF INCREASED TRAFFIC WITH MORE VIEWS, MORE PROFIT AND ONLY AN INCREASE IN COSTS PER SALE. SO AUTOMATIC CAMPAIGNS AND PROMOTIONS ARE AGGRESSIVE FOR US SELLERS AND THEY ARE DESTROYING US

      automatic stock replenishment quantities

Hi everyone, I have many listings with variants, and when I need to restock the quantities I have a hard time because in the seller console, if I sort my listings by "available quantity," I only see the total of all the variants, so I don't know which variant actually needs to be restocked. If I want to see the quantity of a single variant I have to click on the link under the title (e.g. 23 variants). Then I see a screen with the product quantities in all the variants, and this system lets me modify the quantities, but: 1) it's very slow 2) to really know what to restock I have to view the variants of all my listings, and so click the link one by one and check whether I need to restock anything.   - Is there a way to simplify restocking?  - Is there a way to restock quantities automatically? - Is it possible that only through management software can I automatically restock the quantities?

      Payments blocked on eBay

Hi everyone, I've been selling on eBay for about three months and I still have payments on hold. They told me that after a while I'd start receiving them right away, but that hasn't happened. On top of that, I also have 1-euro items that the buyer came to pick up in person, but since they paid online I still have to wait about two weeks to receive the money. For me, this isn't sustainable. Does anyone know why this is still happening? Do I need to do some extra verification on my profile or payment details
