account suspended for counterfeiting but it's false and wrong
Summary: sneakerob00144 expresses frustration with a platform after their phone support was removed, making it difficult to resolve false counterfeit reports on their account. Despite submitting invoices and detailed photos to prove their authenticity, the automated system consistently rejects appeals, risking account suspension. In the past, human intervention helped solve such issues, but now responses are impersonal and unhelpful. cizeta1964 suggests the problem may stem from selling new items in bulk as a private seller, which could lead to account closure.
Hello, I’ve lost my patience with eBay ever since they removed phone support.
This is the third report I’ve received for counterfeit items, and that’s false. I appealed / filed a complaint, attaching the invoice and detailed photos, and of course, since everything is handled automatically, they rejected it. There’s no way out of it. I only sell original goods, never bought a fake, never bought from suspicious sites, everything comes from European stores and European boutiques, but their pathetic AI makes mistake after mistake, and this will definitely lead to my account being closed since now every 2-3 weeks an item listing gets reported for counterfeiting. how can this be solved? in the past I had solved it by calling, explaining and showing the evidence, and in fact they unlocked it for me early. now it’s impossible, chat and email replies are of a level of badness I’ve never seen. they don’t understand and don’t read what you write but reply with automatic responses. I need help, how can this be solved?

·1 month agoThe problem is not how and where you buy, but the fact that, as a private seller, as you define yourself, you can't sell new items in large quantities the way you're doing now.
The next step from eBay could be the permanent closure of the account.

OP1 month ago1) as a private individual I can get an invoice if I requested it from the shop, and it’s also automatically sent very often
2) my position is already in order, I’ve had an account for a short time and I’m already talking with my accountant to figure out how to deal with VAT and everything, being under the flat-rate scheme, and that’s none of your business
3) I pay my taxes and answer in a way that’s consistent with the post, because you’re not a financial police officer or a public official

·1 month agoHere we have the usual clever little scammer... you have a private account, so the whole accountant story is just hot air; it turns out that you’re private and eBay knows that too.
It’s also my business because if I bought a pair of shoes from you I’d “think” I’d have the guarantee, whereas being a private seller you can’t provide it and so you’d be ripping me off.
Also, as a private seller you can’t issue an invoice, only a fiscal receipt.
If on top of that you operate as a flat-rate taxpayer in the background, only you know that!
Have a nice evening.

·1 month ago · EditedYou can say and write whatever you want, even a whole poem, but on eBay you can’t sell like this; it’s not the community that decides that, but eBay, the law, and DAC07.
The proof of this is the reason you wrote, namely the account suspension, a clear sign that everything is not going well.
You can also do whatever you want, in the community there are only users and it’s certainly not the community that closes your account.
If you go back through the posts, you’ll find many situations like yours, all compliant (according to them) but all with account suspension problems.
Then, just out of curiosity, can you explain how you manage to have the invoices, for which a VAT number is required; otherwise they would be called something else, without having a VAT number.

OP1 month agocomment removed, who knows why
call it a fiscal receipt, call it whatever you want, but if you buy even a toothbrush online, you'll get the order email and fiscal receipt or invoice or whatever you like, with the shop name clearly visible, and the sender's email too. so? how can my item be counterfeit? are you able to answer that? obviously not, so you and your friend could have just avoided commenting pointlessly.

·1 month agoNo one talks about counterfeiting, except eBay, precisely, and that’s why they suspend your account, because to eBay you’re not compliant. Not to the community, which actually doesn’t matter at all, but to eBay — which does have decision-making power, do you understand the difference?
In the community you can write whatever you want, but there clearly is a problem with eBay, and you won’t solve it by continuing to argue with community members. The community you wrote to, nobody came looking for you.
For the record: a fiscal receipt and an invoice are not the same thing.

OP1 month agoNobody came looking for me, right, I asked a specific question in fact, you came to जवाब by talking about something else.
Ebay talks about counterfeiting, I reply by sending proof and explaining to them that they’re wrong. The problem remains, for the record they’re both documents certifying the product’s authenticity, but ebay doesn’t check anything anymore, while, I repeat, by calling, the problem was solved within a few hours.

Good luck
