cancel a sale
Hello everyone,
I sold an item. Unfortunately, I realized I made a mistake with the listing and the item was sold for 1 euro instead of its correct price (probably in my rush to post the listing I didn't enter the price and it was set automatically).
The buyer has already paid. I would obviously like to cancel the listing and be able to put the item back up for sale at the correct price.
I contacted the buyer explaining the situation, saying that I would refund them immediately with no problem.
What can I do without having repercussions on my "reputation" on Ebay?

·3 years agoIf the item's value is low, like 8-10 euros, at that point if you don't want to risk negative feedback, ship the item to the buyer; otherwise, if the value is higher, cancel the transaction, refund the buyer, and tell them that you noticed you made a mistake when creating the listing, apologizing for what happened.
If they get annoyed and leave you negative feedback, you can add a comment underneath so that whoever reads it understands what happened (as long as they open the feedback page and don't just look at the percentage), then I don't know if in a case like this you can ask support to review the feedback.

There aren't many alternatives... if the buyer doesn't prove understanding, you risk a negative feedback and a defect on your performance if you correctly cancel the sale.
So try to talk calmly with the buyer, try to appeal to human error by apologizing for what happened... and if they aren't willing to cooperate you have to decide what is best for you to do... repercussions on your reputation... or financial loss...
If you want to cancel the sale, you can find the instructions at this link:
