Great purchase offer canceled at the first bid in the auction.
Ok, protecting bidders in a “private” negotiation makes sense, but, as in this case, the seller was not able to accept an offer that, by the end of the auction, will almost certainly turn out to be higher than the bids.
This is exactly the opposite of the purpose for which the automatic cancellation of the purchase offer at the first bid in the auction was created.

·5 months agoIf you noticed that you received a great purchase offer that you were considering or that you didn't manage to accept in time because it was CANCELED by a bid that started the auction bidding, there's not much to say or do, since that's exactly how it works.
In that case you can consider a buy it now with purchase offer.

·5 months agoSo, let’s try to understand the issue a bit better since it could be useful to other users.
I went to look at your listings and you are using a HYBRID sales mode
In short, this item shown in the screenshot CANNOT BE BOUGHT IMMEDIATELY with a buy it now.
You have to choose whether to make you a purchase offer (presumably higher than 10 euros).
Or RISK TRIGGERING the auction bidding mechanism by placing a 10-euro bid.
So, if I understood correctly, the problem was that one bidder made you an offer, triggering the auction bidding mechanism and consequently BLOCKING the possibility for another bidder to make a purchase offer, who evidently WAS IN A HURRY TO BUY IMMEDIATELY AND/OR DID NOT WANT TO COMPETE and contacted you saying they wanted to offer a price higher than the starting price of 10 euros.
If that is the case, in my opinion the mechanism is correct: if an auction bidding process is triggered, all bidders must take part in the auction if they want to win the item.
So it is not possible that during a bidding auction someone can bypass the competition with all the bidders by making a purchase offer.
Alternatively, you need to use a buy it now with a corresponding purchase offer; usually this is the most commonly used sales mode.
Best regards.

·5 months agoIf the proposal turned out to be higher than the bids in the auction, it would be enough to make it in the form of a bid.
Potential buyers make offers at the start of the auction, in order to put the seller in the position of having to choose whether to accept the offer immediately or wait for the outcome of the auction.
Almost never does the proposal turn out to be higher than the bids.
