Auction canceled after the award.
Hello. An dishonest seller canceled the sale after the auction ended, because he says he didn’t want to part with the item for sentimental reasons. In my opinion that is a complete lie; I think he lied only because the auction had ended with very few participants and at a low price. Is it acceptable that the seller was able to avoid selling the item by lying? Thanks

·9 months agoJust as a buyer can decide not to pay and cancel an auction they previously won, a seller can decide to do the same.
Both will receive a warning (especially if they are "serial cancelers"): this is what eBay's rules provide.

that he lied is just your opinion, you have no proof.
In any case, if eBay allowed it, it is acceptable.
Have a good evening.
