Many years ago (in the blessed year 2010 A.D.), platform users did not use any call-phone to browse listings or post them. They sat there with their feet stretched out on the desk like Wild West sheriffs beside their PC and could choose the profile photo for both sales and the forum. You could put a photo of your beloved hamster as the seller, and that of Dracula the vampire for Questions & Answers in the forum. Now you can’t do that anymore. The profile picture is unified. If I’m tired of my profile image, I can only replace it. I go to my eBay and hover the cursor over my name, say, 'Pucci Pacci 28'. The text edit profile appears. Next to it a pen appears, a pencil. I click on it, and the pencil moves onto the profile photo, turning blue. One more cursor tap and I can choose to replace the photo with a new one. Out goes the hamster, in comes Dracula everywhere. But...what times those were, when you had two service photos and beside the PC there were feet in full view and the office chair with the reclining backrest !

·1 year agoToo bad no, actually, if I click on my username I don’t see any wording "edit profile". Nothing happens. 😕
I figured as much. Something similar happened to me in the past too. They said it was my phone’s settings.
Now I have a redmi. I think eBay is the one that’s a bit antiquated.

Log in to your eBay account from the ebay.it site.
Click on your username at the top left (next to the profile icon).
Go to "My eBay" > "Profile".
Once on your public profile page, hover the mouse over the current profile picture (or the empty circle, if you still don't have a photo).
Click the camera-shaped icon that appears.
Choose a photo from your computer and upload it.
Save the changes.

·1 year agoit's not a cache problem, otherwise changing device wouldn't happen and then if it were me only I would see the astronaut that was deleted and replaced by my bebay

If I click on "see the listings" it takes me to a link with your old username, namely "ortiurbanitorino" and it doesn't show me any active listings while you currently have 19 active listings for sale.

OP1 year agoI agree. But since ortofantastico wants to replace the astronaut photo, I wonder if there isn’t a reason behind it imposed by security concerns. Very similar to the strange case that happened in Laredo on the Texas-Mexico border, in July 1948. There was the landing near a river (Sabinas) that ended in a crash, of an unknown aircraft. USAF Colonel John W. Bowen, head of military police at Carswell base, was sent to the site with the task of guarding and sealing off the entire area. A large army truck arrived to recover all the wreckage, with orders to return to S. Antonio air base at night. But first a photographer with military clearance provided by the high command of the security services was sent to take photos on site from the White Sands Missile Test Center, New Mexico. To document the results of stress tests on metal alloys involving military aircraft. He photographed a strange carbonized body about 1 mt. and 20 cm. in the aircraft wreckage with a head like a large tomato, oozing because of the very high temperature generated after impact. The photos circulated only in part fifty years after the event in an English magazine about unexplained phenomena. Could ortiurbani have top secret reasons for replacing the profile photo? Related perhaps to the classified Laredo case ?

·1 year agoI’m only reading now that I haven’t been around much lately because I’m busy with work, .. the problem isn’t how to change the photo on my eBay.. the problem is that by changing it there (and I did) it doesn’t change on the forum too, where the old image keeps appearing.

·1 year agoTry logging out and back in, clearing / emptying the browser cache.
If the problem persists, it’s probably a BUG.
A BUG like, for example, the color of my star next to the feedback, which here on the forum is yellow but should be a different color.

Of course, after hanging out on the forum for a while and even asking how eBay paid the forum responders....
Is it possible that he never tried to reply to a support post between users, finding it without the blue "reply" button?
