Good morning, when I put a used music CD up for sale as a private seller, I enter the EAN number in the required box, the system loads the number and then tells me EAN number not found. EAN number applied .......so? how should this response be interpreted? is everything ok or not? I don't understand. A lady from support told me to enter not applicable (all lowercase, all together) but!!!, another one says that the EAN number is mandatory. Can someone please clarify this matter a bit? thanks

if you sell as a private seller..... tried putting the wording " not applicable" in the EAN code?

If it doesn’t find any EAN code, it’s because that EAN code hasn’t been entered in eBay’s database yet. Once you’ve entered it, it says EAN code applied because it has added your code associated with that item to its database, and so everything is fine and you don’t need to do anything else.
