MAGGIO23EDAYS CODE IMPOSSIBLE TO USE EVEN THOUGH IT'S NOT YET 11:59 PM ON THE 25TH?
Why isn't the code "MAGGIO23EDAYS" working even though the expiration date hasn't arrived yet? I think many people have been left waiting without being able to make their purchases at the last minute. Is it a solvable problem?

·3 years agoAll complaint messages were written at 23:xx.
Messages before this time were not sent, which leads me to assume that the promotion did not take daylight saving time into account.
2.- CET– Central European Time. Time zone GMT +1, UTC +1
The countries in the Central European Time block are one hour ahead of GMT+0. It is the band that includes most European countries and some in North Africa. These countries use this time in winter, from the last Sunday in October to the last Sunday in March. The rest of the time they use GMT+2. The countries are:
Albania, Germany, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Denmark, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, France, Gibraltar, Hungary, Italy, Libya, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Czech Republic, San Marino, Serbia, Switzerland, Vatican.
Or the promotion started from a server located in the country in the GMT+2 time zone, which would be the purple-colored band visible in the photo below.

·3 years agoThe promotion had a pretty long validity, for several days, so why end up buying during the last available minutes?
Explain the point to me because many of you left it until 23:xx because honestly I just can't understand you.

You’re right to say that 11:59 PM Italian time hasn’t passed yet, but what if the expiry wasn’t set for 11:59 PM? And what if the expiry didn’t take Italian time into account?
The ebay system is centralized, so if the promotion starts from the United States (just as an example), then the time zone can be off by several hours compared to ours.
For next time, try to redeem the coupon at least 12 hours before the presumed expiration date based on the Italian time zone, just to be safe.

·3 years agoIt seems like many of you had this problem, but nobody here on the community could give you an answer about a possible technical issue. You need to ask support. I understand that late in the evening they wouldn't have replied, but what can I say, contact them to find out what happened.

·3 years agogenerally it's a waste of time to go to support to understand the problem (since they DON'T know..... ) , possibly ask the operator if they can provide another similar discount code as a replacement for the unused one

·3 years agoProbably, as you say, they don’t know it either; besides, after the last experience I had with support, imagine how much trust I can place in them! I think they put random people there who reply to multiple users at the same time, after giving them 2 basics and maybe a little quick-start manual in flyer style for an electronic device.
I doubt support provides any other codes.
Whoever asked why reduce yourself to waiting until the last hour to use a promotion is right, given that there could be timing mismatches because of the time zone.
In my opinion ... many waited until the end because they were mainly driven by the impulse to buy generated by the promotion (which is exactly what it’s for) and .... since probably without the incentive of the promo they wouldn’t have made any purchase ... they started looking for something they needed and/or wanted and that at the same time was sold by one of those sellers who had joined the promotional campaign, ending up at the last hour/minute and therefore not being able to use the code for the reasons stated above.
