With eBay: item listing cost, plus sales commission, promotion costs, c
Summary: The discussion concerns the costs associated with selling on eBay, including listing fees, selling commissions, and promotional costs. However, no specific details are provided in the posts.
With Ebay: listing costs for items, plus sales commission, promotion costs, sponsorship costs and shipping costs, take away all the margin; especially in very competitive categories.
I’m writing to report an increasingly evident difficulty in selling on the Ebay platform.
Comparing myself with my category and with sellers who have lower costs, it is impossible to keep prices competitive without operating at a loss.
These tools should be revised and reintroduced in a more balanced version for us small sellers.

If the first appeal did not receive a response, I doubt this second appeal can have any effect.
If sellers keep sponsoring, the algorithms see that everything is working just fine ....
Anyway, if you want any response (even just a token one) you need to contact Ebay Germany.
Ebay Italy as a separate entity has not existed for many years now....
Note the differences between the posts on fb Italy and Germany here:
https://www.facebook.com/ebay.de
https://www.facebook.com/ebay.it/
on fb ebay it there are only Pokémon cards and the like (which, among other things, are among the items most at risk of scams).
instead on fb ebay de, there isn't even a trace of Pokémon and the whole gang.......

OP7 months agoI understand your point, but I don’t fully agree with the conclusion.
The fact that the first appeal didn’t get a response doesn’t mean it isn’t worth insisting: if we stop reporting the problems, then that really is when eBay will say “everything is fine.”
As for sellers continuing to sponsor: unfortunately many do it out of necessity, not because it works brilliantly. The algorithms reward those who pay more, so it’s obvious that those who don’t sponsor get penalized. It’s not a sign of health, it’s a vicious circle.
Regarding eBay Germany, it may well be true that they handle certain communications better, but the fact remains that we’re talking about eBay Italy, and the issues on our platform won’t be solved by knocking on someone else’s door.
The differences between the Facebook pages show exactly that there’s a management problem at the local level.
Precisely for this reason I don’t see why we should stop pointing out that costs are becoming unsustainable for small sellers. If we don’t do it, no one will.
