Declare ongoing sales on eBay
I find myself in the position of being a producer of an accessory that I make by hand and sell continuously in Italy, Europe, and the rest of the world, at a rate of 5/10 transactions a week since the beginning of 2023.
With some help from sponsorships on social media and influencers, my sales have tripled on Ebay, which allows me to accept various payments more quickly and organize shipping.
I am a private individual and I have a salaried job, since Ebay credits are weekly and electronic into a Poste account opened only for sales I would like to avoid irregularities and future audits, but without opening a VAT number what are the solutions for my case, since the requirement of sporadic and occasional sales no longer applies?

·3 years agoHello,
from what I understand, this is a creative activity (similar to a hobby but not the same), sponsorships make it an organized activity, the frequency of sales as well (but annual income also needs to be taken into account); however, this is not your main profession since you are an employee. I don't know what kind of work you do, but the conditions vary if you are employed by a public or private company, and there are rules here too. That said, only an accountant can assess your situation in detail, so I'll leave you a couple of links for an initial look into the subject:
1) regulations for creative activities (and hobbies) https://www.studiocataldi.it/articoli/17488-la-normativa-per-gli-hobbisti-e-i-creativi.asp
2) VAT number and salaried employment: https://www.fiscozen.it/guide/partita-iva-e-lavoro-dipendente/

Judge for yourself, because it's hard to give you such personal advice; the solutions can vary and need to be assessed as part of a set of notions, sometimes complex even for the accountant.
Kind regards
