Good morning everyone,
I’m writing to ask for some advice. I bought a rare perfume from Japan, the seller entrusted the shipping to DHL Express, and today I received an email from DHL asking me to pay the customs fees in advance, which I was already aware of. The problem is that when I go to download the invoice, all the details are correct but in the description of the item the seller declared a different item (a bag) instead of the perfume I bought. Do you recommend that I pay the customs fees anyway so I can receive the item and then possibly open a dispute, or should I pay nothing else, not receive the item, and then open a dispute for an item not received? Unfortunately, as far as I know, no one reimburses customs fees. It seems strange to me anyway because the seller has 100% positive feedback.

·6 months agoBisognerebbe chiedere al venditore il motivo esatto della sua dichiarazione doganale.
Si potrebbe ipotizzare che un profumo potrebbe essere un liquido alcolico/infiammabile e considerato come merce pericolosa / fragile dal corriere che non la accetterebbe come spedizione normale.
Se non ritiri l'oggetto e poi apri controversia per oggetto non ricevuto non e' detto che poi tu riesca a vincere la controversia.
Ma non sarebbe comunque corretto nei confronti del venditore.
Devi provvedere a pagare il dovuto e ritirare l'oggetto.
Se poi si tratta davvero di una borsa devi aprire una pratica di reclamo per oggetto non conforme alla descrizione per essere rimborsato.
Ovviamente le spese di importazione se non sono state riscosse direttamente da ebay non verrebbero rimborsate.

·6 months agoPremesso che aprire la controversia per oggetto non ricevuto sarebbe già persa in partenza (il pacco lo hai rifiutato non pagando la dogana... quindi è regolarmente arrivato).
Detto ciò tra un profumo ed una borsa (in pelle?) la differenza di dazio è di circa il 2% e che probabilmente il mittente ha inserito volutamente (a suo rischio) un TARIC diverso perchè magari quel tipo di esportazione era interdetta in Giappone, direi di soprassedere e versare l'obolo richiesto, pena la rispedizione del pacco al mittente.

OP6 months agoGrazie per la risposta, avevo pensato ad una cosa del genere. Qualora dovesse arrivare effettivamente un articolo diverso dal profumo che ho acquistato potrei comunque aprire una controversia e mi verrebbe rimborsato solo l'importo pagato per l'articolo e non quello pagato per le spese doganali, giusto?
